Exactly!! Every movie should have such concept that sends out a positive message to the audience. Many are influenced through movies and it’s really important the right ones are made. I am so glad how kantara has brought out a united mindset among people. Film-makers should stop thinking movies as just mere entertainment.

Kantara made me interested in searching about this culture of tulunadu. After brief research I found that it is so much similar to my own culture in Rajasthan. There 5 devas of Rajasthan. We worship baba Jaharveer (a king who became disciple of Guru Gorakhnath anf therefore attained status of deva). Every year the day next to Janmashtami he is worshipped and a person from a specific family from village perfoms the similar act. He invokes the deva in him, dance, sometimes beats himself with iron chains and what not. People go to him tell him their problems and he provide them solutions. I remember as kid when my mother was severely ill. I went to the deva and requested him to cure my mother and he gave me his words that my mother will get better within two days and it happened. After moving to delhi i almost forgot about that festival which happens each year in my village. Kantara made me remind it. Thanks for Kannada Cinema to bring the hindu concept of gramdevta, kuldevta and nagardevta on silver screen.

I was really surprised when I saw Kantara. It’s so similar to our culture in Uttarakhand. If you look then you’ll find same culture in Himachal and also in Nepal. We have our local deities whom we worship. Every year we have Jatra when we recite jagars to invoke our gods and goddess. It’s so majestic and goosebump feeling. Would like to visit Karnataka soon to see this ritual. And if you people get time then do come to our lands and see Pandav Nritya, Jaatras, Jagars, Nanda Raaj Jaat, Ganga Dussehra in Gangotri, Ramman, and lot more things. Jai Ganga, Jai Nanda🙏

There's a tradition called "Veer-bhadra" Where the person who acts as a vessel of god uses two swords and performs and dances completely in a trance!! It is sooo sooo intense! I'm proud to be a part of such rich culture 😍

I recomend the last 5 minute scene as the most important highlight of this movie.... no no.... neither the aggressive performance by Rishab nor the action choreography... but the last ritual performance by the character with all hands of his friends in his chest ( means the government, inhabitants and God will work together to redeem our already troubled nature back).... and the ritual scenes in the beginning was also an incredible treat..... other scenes in this film were mere local viauals by every audiance can predict.... This effort shows how our local art and indegenoua religeous rituals could propagate their devine culture through a future enhanced version.

Even I've seen such dance rituals in Tamil Nadu especially in my village. Every family is called pulli and they have same roots which points to one Kovil veedu. During one ritual called "padayal", I've seen such possession on people. They're called "samiaadi" and they get possessed by Muneeswarar, Kaali and other deivams also known as Kaaval Deivam. They shiver in such a way, shout in high tone and roll their eyes. Om my god!! It'll definitely scare you. And people go and ask them about their worries. Which they'll answer in your ear by whispering and many more. You can see such rituals not only in South India but most of the parts of India where Hinduism is followed.

Dnt create more divide brother... entire Bharath is uniting for our roots and culture... See the big picture... This movie has united India in acknowledgement to the Daiva.. When the Daiva is uniting , how can u divide? Discard the petty division.. Look at magnanimity of the Daiva and all the people connected.. if it was only Tulunaadu, all kannadigas wouldn't have promoted this film to tge rest of India.. Be grateful.. its more than just a naadu... its devotion n faith that connected every person watching and applauding it.. only Tulunaadu didnt acknowledge it, entire Bharath and the world is supporting it.. Be thankful... Vande Mataram Devotion is one..
