If you think about it White granite that breaks up from water erosion over time is what a lot of San consists of. White granite nearly always holds Gold. A beach holds millions of eroded white granite rocks in it along with every other type of stone which means a beach is a very likely place to find large quantities of Gold.

All those times I walked the Lake Superior shoreline and had no idea... I don't think I could have walked away from a spot like that. I wasn't getting great gold today, but I did get some and that's a winner winner chicken dinner in my book.

Subbed.... Hit Gitche Gumee at Muskallonge several weeks ago. Tried to pan some black sand while doing some rock hounding. Not a speck. Panning black sand has got to be one of the most difficult things to do. Props on your patience in tackling it. I pan in SW Mich from time to time and find some nice color. Enjoy the fall, some of the best time to be outdoor!

I generally prefer videos that show how to do something more than show someone just doing something. The viewers seem to like both, with perhaps a preference for the latter. My wife really likes "Slim" on Jeff Williams channel for example. To each his own, it as very hard to be really good if it is not natural. I just can't do scripts for example. I can yak just fine though and edit out the stumbles. :-)

met my wife in rice lake , we live out in gold country(hangtown,cal) now love the panning out here. dont miss the cold there. my kids legs would turn blue in that lake and id have to yell at them to get out. nice gold.i never knew it was there.

I layed block on a walmart out in rice lake not too long ago.... California is where its at but unfortunately im here..... I’ll definitely still have fun finding what i do tho!!!! Thanks for the continuous helping of fun prospecting...there's a question that lingers : if there's copper nuggets to be found in gravel pits ( my brother , while going to U of M St Paul campus , would scoure the near by gravel pits and collected plenty of neat agates AND , yes a few copper nuggets )...now if a copper nugget can survive the grind of the glaciers , why can't gold nuggets be found in gravel pits ? Thanks ...

Thank you for watching and enjoying!!!!! I believe there are native copper deposits all over the northwoods and the glaciers may not have pulverized them as much. Im 100% positive there is a gold nugget that escaped the “wrath” and has my name on it .... probably in a gravel pit with bedrock near.... Im happy for your brother!!!!! Liked and shared. I’m not much of a whiskey guy. But I absolutely love Captain Morgan . I keep that on hand year round. In the fall I stick a pint in coats inside pocket. It wouldn't matter to me how big the pieces were, I would be thrilled. I saw your beach gold and thought that was the greatest! I've only panned a couple of times with no success so any amount is exciting lol Stay hydrated!

Do you classify the sand first? Do you put it in dry or wet or straight into the cube?

Did you take note of your beach angle . Finding where the gold is concentrated the most. dig in perpendicular trenches to the shore line . One 5 gallon pail and about a 1/4 of another is around one cubic foot . Build yourself a wool blanketed cuboid at 24 degrees . you seen the results in the pictures I sent you . Be nice to see if it works with pure black sand

Would the bigger gold be in the gravel band? I'm wondering if the larger bits would wash out of that black sand and deposit in that stuff. I love your vids and watch them all the time! I'm way out in Oregon on Klamath river. I have never looked for gold in there but I suppose I should.
