The C6 Ceramics coatings have these features:
Applying the APP (adhesion promoter polish) is mandatory before applying the coating
Can be applied to all the exterior surfaces (paint, glass, wheels, trim and lights)
Have UV protection
Chemical resistance: pH 2 to 13
1 hour curing time before exposing to the elements
After the application, wait at least 7 days before washing the car
Can be applied on matte surfaces (in that case, don’t use the APP before applying, use the DIY Detail Panel Prep spray instead)
The APP can be used prior to applying any ceramic coating from any brand. It will increase bonding, potential longevity, and gloss.

I instilled hydro lite on my car during Memorial Day week here in the States and absolutely love it. The hydrophobic properties are amazing. I watched all of PAN's videos on how to wash a car and decontaminate a car properly. And polished my car as well and it looks amazing The way the water just falls off. The car is truly unbelievable. I'm so happy with the results. Thank you again pan all you do.

Mr Pan. I know you mention the app will work with any ceramic coating. Is it an added bonus or necessary if used with the DIY ceramic coatings they offer?

It's not necessary with DIY Detail coatings. It's just a bonus if you use the APP. The APP did not exist when DIY Detail coatings were launched. ;)

Here in Buffalo NY we installed C6 Hydro on a 39ft RV and the results were fantastic! Super slick and glossy. When maintaining such a large vehicle you need a coating that has top-tier self cleaning abilities and from what we have seen with another install this coating deliverers. Lifetime is a bold claim but so far this coating is preforming better than all the others we have installed. As with any coating, proper maintenance is key

All good points. Yeah the C6 Ceramics coatings are nuts. If Hydro lasts anywhere near 5+ years, it would be a winner. For me, I often take the years of durability as a general guideline, more than a hard fact. For example, a 5 year coating should last more than a 3 year coating, but that doesn't mean in the real world, the 5 year coating will actually last 5 years. It might last more than 5 years in a perfect setting (a weekend driven car, garage kept, in California weather) or last less than 5 years if not maintained well, daily driven in the elements, winter climates, etc). Maintenance and conditions where one lives are two major factors for long term durability for sure. Have a great weekend!

Great Coating Pan , We are the first certified installer in Belgium and last week we have do a Mercedes EQS SUV in Black and it's great , I did unbilive the gloss . for the hydrophobic, I must wait a week for the customer come back for the first wash. next week we als place a you tube film from the result of the coating . I think you made the ride choice. 👍

Very cool! And yes it's such a great coating, your customer won't believe his eyes when he washes his car the first time. Every car I have applied C6 coatings on calls me two weeks later and can't believe how much beading and quick sheeting they get, and how clean the car always looks even when driving in the rain.

The coating is looking great! I've been getting similar looking performance out of my Diamond ProTech Body 36 coating (no toppers), but I have a bottle of Hydro Lite and the new Hydro Glass ready to go onto my wife's car. I'm excited to see any differences first hand. I'm also very interested in the CCI Advance coating and may end up doing half of my wife's car in that so I can decide which route I want to go with my car in the future whenever this 3 year coating needs to be replaced.

Another great review from Pan..ur the man lol. But one thing though, you gave it number 1 for its hydrophobic properties. So i take it that there are products out there with much more gloss? Cause you didn't rate up the gloss as much? What's your opinion between this and a product that's been reformulated because of their cureing issues?

I already spoke about the gloss and slickness in previous videos. Everything about this coating is top level. For gloss it's also as good as it gets, but most top tier coatings are already super glossy, so it gets hard to visually distinguish them other than with a gloss meter perhaps, and even then, anything under 3 gloss units difference the human eye can't tell the difference. And if you want the ultimate gloss, C6 Diamond Gloss according to Yvan gives 10% more gloss even, compared to C6 Hydro. Where C6 Coatings really destroy the pack so far is the hydrophobics and self-cleaning properties. I haven't seen anything come close, yet. In the future, other brands need to have C6 Ceramics as their benchmarks to develop stuff. I can't really compare a $30 coating to this, as the quality of ingredients in C6 Hydro are just on another level, and use raw materials that cost far more. Plus, that coating you are referring to was just released in late April in version #2, so we need time to see if they got the reformulation right this time.

Okay great but I must confess that I haven't looked at the other videos as yet but will definitely do so. So now, then we will have to wait for the light version to see how it compares with the $30 ones. I mean a lot of your subscribers are non professional and will want to see how the light version stands against the others.

The Lite will give you almost identical performance to C6 Hydro, so it will be a top shelf coating for sure. I haven't found anything better than Lite yet at its price point. Regardless if you have C6 Hydro professionally applied or you apply C6 Hydro Lite yourself, both coatings are as good as it gets right now. I have C6 Hydro Lite videos coming soon, as I started testing that as soon as it was released.

I love it! The comfort of the ride, the power, sophistication, overall build quality, fit and finish, it's all true Porsche. It's obviously more practical than my 911 Turbo S was, although that was obviously more fun to drive. I also love how quiet the ride is in the Cayenne, as I got the optional sound insulated and thermal rejection glass.

Yasou Pan, Thank you for the video. 1. If you had to choose would you use the Cerakote 2.0 on your brand new car or the C6 Lite and why? 2. Between the two ceramic coatings which one would you recommend for the car detailing enthusiasts? For sure, like before applying any coating, you want to prep the paint thoroughly, to make sure it's clean and decontaminated, and free of any previous paint protection.

Thanks for all the fantastic info you give. If I applied the hydro lite, how well does it hold up to touchless car washes? I’m next to Chicago and my garage isn’t setup to wash cars in, so hand washes are a hard option in the winter

I would never recommend automatic car washes, even touchless. Avoid those if possible. But nobody has any data yes on Hydro Lite in those conditions as it's new to market, and I don't know anyone who applies a high end coating like that and goes through a touchless car wash unfortunately. If a person can't wash their car at home, I'd rather recommend that someone brings their car to a professional detailer to have it washed properly once a month, then go weekly to an automated car wash.

It depends on which coating, but typically not more than a few months on average. Unopened, up to a year if kept in stable conditions and not frozen. But once opened, a few months at best.

My RS6 is coated with Crystal Serum Ultra. It exhibits the same feature that your coating does, as it "fights" through the soap. I thought something was failing the first couple of times that I saw it. I bet that you are missing the ceramic brakes now that you will have to deal with brake dust!

Hi Pan, after letting the APP sit overnight, what is the best way to remove the polish. Just a microfibre cloth is enough? Or a damp rinseless microfibre cloth? Or panel prep?

Yup, just use a clean and dry microfiber towel. DO NOT use a rinseless dampened towel in this case. APP is applied with a dry pad, and removed with a dry microfiber towel. Pan what is the UV protection like with this product. I live in Arizona and my wife's vehicle is kept outside. We had it ceramic coated but any horizontal surfaces have suffered greatly from the sun, we have even had to have some of the surfaces repainted. The hood has not been repainted and I care for it decently but it has suffered some clear coat damage.

UV protection is part of the equation. Coating companies mention UV protection because it’s easy to comprehend for consumers. In reality, coatings provide protection against oxidation, they do so through blocking air, moisture, dirt, and UV.

Hi Pan, I’m 2 months in on Hydro. I can’t get over how dust and dirt doesn’t stick to vehicle. I’m on a dirt road and the car with C6 has hardly any dust on the rear hatch as the other vehicles that drive the same roads are caked with dust. I’ve always struggled with my lower panels being clogged, not with C6. What do you use for tire coating that gives those nice beading? Thanks

I put on the Avalon king ceramic coating on my car. I think I heard that we can put the C6 coating on top of this. Is there any special prep I need to do

No you can’t. Where did you even hear that? Coatings need to bond to a virgin clear coat, free of any contamination and any previous protection. You would have to remove the old coating by machine polishing (it’s the only way to ensure 100% removal of the previous coating). Then do a paint prep step. Then apply the APP. Then apply the C6 Ceramics Hydro Lite coating.

I have never tested Ceramic Pro coatings. You have to be a certified installer of their products. In the detailing world, they aren't seen as a top tier coating brand though. They're great at marketing, more than anything else in my opinion.
