I really hope this isn’t the end of his time in Tampa Bay. There were rumors earlier this season that several people within the organization would be quote “not crushed to see him go.” It would be just wrong if the Lightning let him finish his career somewhere else. He needs to be a Bolt for life.

every time Cooper shakes hands with the other teams coach, win or lose a series he always has a smile on his face. He never looks upset. even in the cup finals that they lost to Colorado, he took time to talk with Jared Bednar about the experience

Cats are looking like they can take on any team right now. This club is going to win it all before their prime runs out. I felt it with this Bolts team when they reached the finals all the way back in 2015, and Cats already got the taste of the finals last year. It's Florida's turn now, go and win the rest of them!!

Very rare see such politeness and great leadership respect and graciousness and kindness in this country the US and Stamkos is one of the handful if not most likely a very small percentile of the Americans or the people here in general not counting the Indigenous People or the Asians as they are naturally good people on a whole , to be such a decent human being . Very very rare sight in this country

Coming from a ranger fan, I think stammer is officially done, it’s coming to the end of an era the guys I grew up watching back in the 2010s are all retired or retiring let’s all take it in while we can because soon ovi and Sid will be gone let’s enjoy the playoffs together

Stamkos is only 34 or 35. He's only a year older than Hedman. He can still play like 4-6 more years if he wants to. People are acting like Stamkos is 40+ and his retirement is imminent

I really hope that this wasn’t Stamkos’ last game with Tampa Bay. He’s a UFA on July 1. He’s been a huge part of the team that’s made it to four finals (2015, 2020, 2021, and 2022) and won back to back championships. It would be just wrong if the Lightning let him walk and finish his career elsewhere. He had 40 goals and 41 assists this year at the age of 34. He’s still a great player and if he leaves it would be a huge loss for Tampa. Victor Hedman who was drafted the year after Stamkos has one year remaining on his contract and can become a UFA in 2025. There’s probably a lot of questions surrounding his future in Tampa too. Gonna be an interesting summer in Tampa for sure.

Florida took revenge for 2022, in general Florida is stronger, guard and defense, goalkeepers are strong in both. Tampa's bottom line is weak. Kuch and Point played poorly.

I feel for Tampa’s coach that game. He just could not outsmart the other coach. Every thing he did just backfired. Sometimes the odds just aren’t in your favor. Watched the whole game and the only issues I had were his challenges. One was way too desperate but other than that, he did all he could, Florida just wanted it more.

The success of the Bolts over the last several years forced the Cats to get better. This is a good, nasty rivalry. (Not quite, say, the Battle of Alberta, but it's been percolating for awhile now.) The Bolts' success is rubbing off on Florida. Who knows? Maybe the Cats can accomplish what they almost did last year!

Yeah it’s when you let the other team get a win to not embarrass them and so you close out the series at home. Series that end in 5 are gentlemen’s sweeps.

Are you that shocked the team that took the MOST penalties in the reg season had a significant amount of penalties called against them? “Oh no, they can’t keep calling penalties on the team that’s been taking penalties all year, it’s for sure those awful refs”

By suggesting that the "Refs" almost got the sweep, I'm plainly implying they're aligned with the Panthers rather than the team that was almost swept. How is that not clear? Ducks were the most penalized team, btw.

??? The Lightning have set attendance records year after year and the panthers are also amazing in sales. Never work? It’s been nothing but profit and WORKING. I’m a bolts ticket holder and while the cats are our rival, I’d stand in defense of the panthers and my lighting, that we are 2 of the best teams in the NHL and both are by far some of the best to watch. The TV announcer just didn't SHUT UP during the game. My God----call the game. Ok, do color commentary. But damn - one of the guys was like that little hyper kid we grew up with who wasn't allowed to drink soda. Even during handshake the guy can't shut up, or act least talk less.
