Japan travel to Okinawa. This is our Japan Family summer vacation trip. Last year, as you know, we went to Atami just over an hour away from Tokyo…but this year we decided to fly all the way down to Japan’s resort island of Okinawa and this time meet up with my Japanese in-laws, Maiko’s mom and sister. When we started planning our trip a few months earlier, the Japanese government was actually encouraging domestic travel, even running campaigns with discounted travel up 50% in some cases as . So it was only natural for many Japan residents to start traveling back to areas like Okinawa, especially since many people had been staying home the past couple years. In fact, the hotel itself seemed to be at near full capacity so perhaps government initiatives were working well….maybe too well. This is our experience with traveling in Japan as a family including my Japanese in-laws and some of things that other travelers should be aware of.

The Hells Angels, the Comanchero motorcycle club and the Aussie Cartel heads are having talks while you are reading this about their growth in Australia and in Asia. Exterminating The Yakusa presence and their activities in the country would be considerably profitable for the Hells Angels, the Comanchero motorcycle club and the Aussie Cartel. The goal is to initiate their expansion over the Yakusa in Australia and to push it as far as in Japan. According to their plans, they are and will be supported by the Sinaloa Cartel for a part of the gains obtained and it would be done by the end of 2023. They told their mens to prioritize the capture, mostly for torture and interrogation before killing and for selling but to kill right away if they can not capture. This is what members having close ties with Hells Angels chapter leaders are talking about. Some members of the Hells Angels and of the Sinaloa Cartel had already start moving to Australia. The mens had been told to get the job done by any means, even by mass killing if needed. If you are directly involved let your comrades know so you can be prepared for what is happening before it is too late to prevent the bloodbath and your fall!

Japan's culture around children is so enjoyable to learn about - children are clearly treasures to everyone, not just Wolfy to his family - but you can see many families allowing their young ones to be curious and expressive throughout the vlog. There were other little kids dancing in the izakaya and just being kids. Grandma was so loving even when having a truck driven on her. Being patient with the new shoe-learner and letting him be proud of a new skill instead of rushing and just doing for him and depriving him of self-efficacy. Little treasures.

Looks like a lot of fun, Paolo! “ Okinawa with in-laws” is something I can relate to personally. 😃 We did the same thing a couple of years back, when my daughter was around Wolfie’s age. We went there with my wife’s parents, and rented a house for a couple of days on Ishigaki Island. (It actually cost less than all of us staying in a hotel.) We had a fantastic time. Okinawa is one of my favorite places in the world. Beautiful, safe, and definitely family friendly - especially if you’re staying on one of the southern islands. And seriously, for anyone planning on travelling there with a larger group or small kids, definitely look into renting a house. Less expensive than you would think, and a seriously relaxing and low-stress option. 🍻

Aww that was so awesome! Glad you guys had such a fun time on Okinawa. From all the traveling I have done, only one time was the room not ready; check in was 4pm and we got there at 5:30pm. I was running in a marathon the next day, and the booths closed at 6pm to get your racing numbers and shop for some merch. At 5:45pm the room still wasn’t ready, so we left our bags with the hotel staff and literally ran over to the centre to get my race stuff. By the time we got back at 6:10pm, our room still wasn’t ready. We were a little upset, but then one of the managers saw us and asked “wait, didn’t you arrive at 5:30pm and your room still isn’t ready?” So she took us, and upgraded our room to one that over looked the river. Also we got discount vouchers for the restaurant upstairs on the top floor.

The car rental situation is exactly what happened here in Hawaii. During the lockdown and travel restrictions, there were thousands of unused rental cars parked in fields and lots. Many of them were eventually shipped off island. Then when tourism came back, there weren't enough rental cars, so rental prices were sky high. It's since stabilized since more cars were shipped in.

I think it's pretty smart - we've given our 10 month old an old remote control with no batteries in it so she can press the buttons without turning on the tv every 5 seconds!!

The dresses of your wife, her sister and her mom at the aquarium restaurant were very pretty! The shorts grandma made Wolfie are adorable and look like a tailor sewed them.

Wolfie is getting that vlogger closing scene down at an early age XD , soon the channel is going to rename to Wolfie fromTOKYO hehe. Glad you all had a fun safe vacation. Even Hawaii took big hits to tourism from Japan. We were down 99.9% from Japan and even with the slight easing over time it moved to 95% reduction which is still miserable numbers for Hawaii. Hopefully with the full opening on October 11th then it will slowly go down from 95% to 80% and so forth since staffing is a huge issue here too. Sometimes at my restaurant we only have 6 people total trying to serve volume where you need 15-20 people. Some people are so rude too when they know you are short staffed. Can't wait to visit Japan in October. Got my ANA flight booked. Aloha.

Wow... what a trip down memory lane. Same hotel/resort but 15 years ago - my son exactly the same age as your son, same restaurants, coral boat, dolphins... but it was fully staffed and a bit more "prestigious" then I think... thanks for posting.

Based on the title, I was dreading some kind of in-law drama but it seems the visit went swimmingly (so to speak)!
