I kinda want to see a full discussion without any time limit. This small table discussion is intimate and probably easier for us voters to judge on the character of these candidates. Since we have youtube now, I would not mind seeing a 3hr long live streaming of these discussions right here.

Dr Chee was merely asking a question, an honest one, about whether or not the PAP is planning on raising the population up to 10 million. He did not pick up that number through random thoughts but rather, referred to an article where DPM Heng Swee Keat cited former chief planner Liu Thai Ker that Singapore should plan for 10 million people for it to remain sustainable in the long term. While it may not be an official plan of the government to do so, as Dr. Chee said HSK was toying with that idea and number especially having said that Singapore's population density is not excessive. Furthermore, the person he cited was not any Tom Dick or Harry. Hence I find it valid that Dr. Chee and the SDP actually raised this point to get some clarity from the PAP on its plans regarding population growth as such statements like those mentioned by HSK may have caused alarm to the hearts of the ordinary reader.

Dr. Chee, is formidable, because he has a big brain, AND a big heart. Looking forward to the day that he enters into parliament, with other opposition parties as well.

I met Dr Vivian Balakrishnan once during a meet-the-people session and sought assistance for my family. He did not even bother to address my concerns and brushed me off. He was neither approachable nor helpful. Honestly, it seemed like he was there for the sake of appearance and not to truly listen to us.

Watching this video now makes me so sad that Dr Chee didnt win Bukit Batok SMC. He shows that he truly cares about Singaporeans by asking the hard questions that not many are daring to ask. The question posed was not even answered and instead phrases such as cheap shot can be used by the minister. Where's the respect and professionalism? Smh

“The government doesn’t have a target for our population.” Well, that’s what Singaporeans thought 25 years ago. Lo and behold, our humble 3 mil population has increased to a whopping 5.9 mil today in a matter of years. I didn’t know Singaporeans are so reproductive! The irony is only 2.65 mil true blue Singaporeans today are eligible to vote. What does this tell us? The population is creeping up steadily and it’s scary to think that we are now surrounded by foreigners and immigrants everywhere we go. We can’t help feeling that the population will keep rising as there’s no direction or certainty from the government that enough is enough. I sure hope it won’t be 6.9 or 10 million or I’ll have to sleep in a bedroom the size of my toilet cubicle.

SG50 for example), losses by Temasek publicised in specific share purchases/ sales resulting in loss of millions and a CEO pay which could easily sponsor lots of old folks. Going for the current COVID19 budget is too dicey, so just attack straight ! Tell VB that the prices of fresh flats can exclude land cost and should cost about $330,000 for 1200 sq ft HDB based on current condo development costs by rivate developers.. I believe Singaporean won't mind paying if it benefit "US", Singaporeans, for our development as a nation and support for our own people, FOR Singaporeans. Instead, we are paying to support not only citizens, but also foreigners living here, technically. They say they're putting Siangporeans first when it comes to jobs but they opening more doors for foreigners instead. Are you telling me that you cannot find local talents? We need opposition and constructive opposition in parliament. CSJ and SDP does not even remotely come close to that category. To: Everyone Concerned, I have done everything right by the book and gotten through the proper channel. International Organisation of Immigration (IOM) has already prepared all the relevant necessary documentations, purchase my air-ticket and have also ensured/ secured a clear passage of way at the Athens Airport for my seamless repatriation to Singapore. But yet; when the time comes for the MFA to issue the DOI- Document Of Identification, you refused. Outrightly, rejected the IOM’s Proposal for my repatriation without giving any reason why. They were told to refer back to me but I am just as lost, dumbfounded and appalled as the IOM staffs. I would like to know the reason/s why was my repatriation being rejected and after 6 long tedious months of homelessness and starvation in Greece, what’s the Singapore’s MFA purpose behind it? How long more do you intend to keep me this way? I am a Singaporean and you outrightly refused my repatriation without any clarification nor explanation. I am seeking your clarity on this matter.
