I found a statistic the other day that said Pearl will misinterpret or intentionally misrepresent statistics and studies 100% of the time to prove whatever dumb point she's trying to make 😂

Most women who have babies over 40 have completed normal pregnancies/babies. There are higher risk than having younger, but not as common as people try to make it seem.

As someone who became a sahm at 19, and now I’m 27, I keep bringing up what I’ll do for work when I finally can start working when my youngest is in kinder in a few years. My husband would love for me to continue to be a sahm even then but this is the kind of thing I think about. What if I need to work? What would I even do? I need to have something under my belt. Because to possible bosses it won’t seem like I just juggled four kids schedules for 10+ years, it’ll just looked like I did nothing.

Pearl is the perfect example that bullying works. Before she used to dress in non complimentary colours which didn’t show off her figure or even wash her hair. After a bunch of channel roasting her for months she finally started being presentable, another W for bullying

There are several women in my own family, and more who have been casual acquaintances, who had kids in their 40's without even trying. The most common theme is that they thought they couldn't at their age, or their doctor told them they couldn't anymore, so they dropped the contraception and then... surprise! Unintended kid. So no, it's not nearly as unlikely as Pearl and her ilk would have us think. The incidence of birth defects isn't even as high as some make it out to be. "40 year old women are just popping out babies left and right." I know she's being sarcastic, but yeah, that's been my observation. That said, I have no idea why anyone, man or woman, would want to still be raising kids when they're in their 50's or 60's. Who the f*ck has the energy for it at that age? I also don't get this absurd double standard where people like Pearl tell women they have to choose between a career/job and a family, but that men can have both. What is it, exactly, that prevents women from being able to have both but not men? But Pearl doesn't live in the same world as you or I. She's spent her whole life in a wealthy bubble insulated from the realities of the common person and it shows. She gives off the air of a naive, gullible teenager who thinks they've got the world figured out- which would be understandable if she was a teenager, but she's a grown-ass woman.

Papa she's so disingenuous. I just looked into it and divorce rates for people in their 30s and even 40s. According to American Congress of gynecologist, in 2016 for the first time ever more women gave birth in their 30s then in 40s. Birth rates are also rising, in '16 it was up 19% since '07. Also 'high risk' is a broadly applied, it includes ppl with diabetes, overweight, having twins & a bunch of other factors so her 1-1 comparing age to being high risk like she did. Also Destiny is good & I like em but imo he's not a lefty & he always says he is lol. He's a little left of elected democrats or mainstream news. Like him & MSNBC hosts agree on most things.

Pearls foray into her supposed media career is backed by her wealthy silver spoon that is not what the average woman will get. It’s dishonest at least to pretend like there isn’t bias against older people entering the workforce and making meaningful strides toward success rather than status quo.. I’m sure there are outliers but let’s we’re talking about the vast majority here

In this case, Pearl is right, getting a new skill takes about 2-4 years, having babies at 40 is incredibly hard, even when it happens there is a high likely hood of the baby having dyslexia, adhd etc etc. It's really bad to tell women that their body clock is a nothing burger just to win an argument, being a parent till 58 is not optimal either.
@partiallyhealedsunburn1881

but their whole premise hinges on an extreme case of someone staying home for almost 20 years to be a caretaker for their children (assuming they have a partner who makes decent money to make being a SAHM feasible). once those kids start school there is no reason to stay at home as opposed to going into the workforce and gaining skills- even on a part-time basis. sadly there is age discrimination in many careers, where a younger person will be a more desirable candidate; this is even an issue for people who’ve worked in a certain field for decades with a lot of experience. having some kind of financial independence is also important for many women, so even a part-time paycheck can really help keep a sense of identity. that’s why the real question here is why can’t a woman do both at the same time? that is, assuming she is still able to be present for her children. i am currently pregnant and, while i know we could get by on one income, i know there will be a point when i need a PT job to not go fuckin bonkers lol. this whole debate is just weird all around because it’s not at all realistic in today’s economic climate

I don’t recommend having a kid at 40 unless you’re rich and can afford the best doctors. (Which most women who have kids that late are or are celebrity’s) But telling women to stay home in their early 20s and having NO work experience or NO schooling. You honestly think you can just jump back in at 40?! You’re crazy. Honestly these are two extremes
@Jo-ym6id
@Jo-ym6id Жыл бұрын
@@Ries41794 . The idea of promoting having kids at 40 is more extreme. Nobody has as zero skills unless they had kids at 16. Both are extreme but with one it might be physically impossible the other will just be extremely hard. Neither option should be pursued obviously. But the whole premise of the initial conversation is fempowerment is lying to women and telling them that the body clock issues is not a big deal. It's actually both stupid and wicked.
@Ries41794
@Ries41794 Жыл бұрын
@@Jo-ym6idobody is listening though. That’s the point! The average woman isn’t waiting till 40 to have kids and like I said before, if they do they are typically very rich and can afford to do so. People with the most kids are poor to middle class. Most women are waiting till mid to late 20s now, which I think is reasonable Edit* no job cares about schooling you did at 16, without any degrees or certifications at 40 you’re shut out of luck trying to find a decent job
