The game that you're no doubt thinking of, and what Sea was also no doubt thinking of, doesn't deserve all the hype it gets. it's a bland RPG with what looks to be really easy fights, and not immersive at all.

12:15 It would actually make sense for Fire to be effective against Poison, since toxins are usually made out of proteins, which get destroyed with enough heat. Thats why a high fever can be dangerous, since it can also damage your own proteins.

As soon as One-Winged Angel kicked in, I knew something was dying in that rival battle. And as soon as something died right before the Elite Four, I knew Sea was going to "enter" Cerulean Cave and "find" a second Master Ball to get Mewtwo early. This video was so fun and chaotic and I loved it, awesome work.

@@AtrumDelorox But you need to visit the Sevii Islands in order to unlock the National Dex that unlocks all the post-game features. Might as well get it over with and visit the first three islands with Bill after the seventh gym so that your post-game visit to the Sevii Islands doesn't include the storyline that should have already been done and taking a stop back to Pallet Town just to obtain the National Dex to start on the second part of the Sevii Islands campaign.

You should do a nuzlocke of only short pokemon. Only pokemon under a certain height can be used and evolutions cannot be stopped, if they get taller then they need to be boxed and go catch others

Great video concept! When/if you do one of these again, try to do the gyms as out of order as possible. In Kanto you can skip surge and Erika, go right to koga and do Blaine fourth, and I think that's funny

gen 1 games let you skip so easily. Gen 2 it was really only chuck jasmine and pryce you could do in any order, as long as jasmine had the medicine. Gen 3 you can skip brawly and winona. gen 4 was when you had to go in order...well you could do pastoria or veilstone in either order. after that it started being mainline.

The fact that he used the Walk Through Walls code had really broken the run. He should have done the game in a way not intended but still possible without a cheating device. Also, when he got the Barboach from his Ruby, did he use another cheat code to unlock Hoenn trading without the Sevii Islands quest or was Celio's Network Machine completely useless the whole time?

I spent most of my time back then just going all around those islands, exploring every little corner, doing absolutely everything I could. It has such amazing adventure vacation vibes and an aura of mystery with the patterns in Pattern Bush and in the Unown ruins, as a kid I was always wondering what it all meant and what was the meaning and purpose behind the Altering Cave, there had to be more to it than just an empty cave with Zubats.

Actually, Gyarados is good for Misty - if you teach it an electric move, like Thunderbolt, or tbph a dark type move, like Bite or Crunch (cuz Starmie)

You could have done the gym battles really out of order like skipping lt surge to go do pokedoll on the marowack ghost and go straight to koga or given the guards a drink from the vending machine to get to saffron and get Lapras brock misty and geovani are the only gyms that need to be fought in their actual order with the exception of needing to beat koga to surf to cinnabar island for blane. You can get into all the other gyms without following their order of progression. Doing gyms in order just seems like how they intended you to play

With one of the event passes you can travel on a ship through the link cable to Ruby version from Pallet Town, but only at 14:30 on the second Thursday of a month.
