The house is nemona's house not the director nemona tells this to you at the start of the game

The significance of the Ten Sights is merely to add more places that you can fly to once you visit them for the first time. In a world map this vast, the more places you can fly to, the better.

The one thing I want to know more about in Area Zero is the hidden cave where you get Roaring Moon/Iron Valiant, why it has those giant symbols across the floor.

Glaceado's Grasp is significant not because of the pillar itself, but because the area around the pillar. Looking at the mini map, it sort of resembles a hand reaching out to grasp the lake.

About the 10 sights of Paldea, every sight that you visit (or read its sign I don't remember) opens you a flying taxi destination so you can use them to travel faster

Fan fact: The painting that depicts the hidden ninja is based on Joan Miró, an Spanish artist. Miro is known for his vanguardist style of Spanish surrealism, and uses a mix of perspective, hot colors and light from cold colors. He has a painting called "Women and birds in the moonlight" (original title: Mujeres y pájaros a la luz de la luna), which sort of looks like the hidden ninja painting in that it reflects shapes that allow the people who see the painting to interpret them the way they want (although because of the stars, the frog shape of the central character and the thing in its head, everyone is most likely going to think is Greninja). Is also interesting that the painting is supposed to depict "the hidden ninja", since Greninja technically is a ninja that is hidden (in the game code, alongside the Kalos starters, ready to be available in a Raid or when HOME transfers are available).

Need to immediately correct you on the first one you listed. That is *not* the Director's house, it's Nemona's, something we are told at the start. Nemona even says on the way to the academy that it's her house and she went back there for a bit before going back to the academy.

Zapapico used to be the home of the rock gym of Paldea that was lead by the teacher at the academy and Ryme's sister.

Another weird fact about Area Zero: Unless you're in a cave, it's always sunny, yet the area is not technically considered "outside" and cannot have any overworld weather.

I also think some of the more hidden places in Paldea that don't have official names are pretty cool. Like the hidden cave in the mountains above Casseroya Falls, where there's a guaranteed Arctibax encounter. Or the mountain lake near Alfornada where you can catch low-leveled Dratini. Then there are the hidden caves and such with wild Tera Pokemon, the places where you can find chest-form Gimmeghoul, etc. Paldea has a lot of cool areas hidden away!

The 10 sights are simply tourist attractions with unique landscape features. Nothing more and nothing less, which likely makes it more immersive

Not Director's house. He's probably homeless lol since like no major characters have actual houses in pokemon. Or he just lives in the dorms, idk.

Glaseados grasp isn’t the tall spike jutting upwards, it’s the three horizontal protrusions that look like a 3-fingered hand reaching out from the mountain when viewed top down

Two things One: the blocked off area is northeast of paldea, coincidentally, that is also where the French border with Spain is located Two: the olive orchards are most likely a reference to Spanish economy, as we are one of the main olive oil producers Hope this helps :)

About Zapapico having a Battle Arena but no Gym, I've heard it's because there used to be a Rock type Gym but the leader retired or something

i love the ten sights. i like when they just put weird and interesting landscapes in these games. sometimes they don't need a story or a reward. it's just there, as formations and sites in the real world are just. there.

Zappipico should have been where the Ghost gym was. It's very possible though Tyme's gym was there, but she retired and became a school teacher (Her type specialty is rock btw)

"Ruin" can mean both "a building destroyed", which is the case of the towers and other ruins scattered across Paldea, or "destruction", which is the case of the 4 treasures of ruin, as they brought destruction upon the kingdom of Paldea, so the only possible conection I can see between the ruins and the pokémons is that the ruins were caused by the 4 pokémon when they wrecked havoc.

Surprised you didn't mention the cave in Area 0 that you find Roaring Moon and Iron Valliant in. With its crazy pattern on the ground that lines up with some other things in the game. And the imagery is on the cover of the games' box.

i’m so glad you said the director’s house in the first bit because i also thought it was his house for most of the game. it wasn’t until after i defeated the elite four that i realized it was nemona’s place from a dialogue option for where our grand battle should be

The home belongs to Nemona, not the director. The Ten Sights of Paldea add 10 fast travel points to your map. This is incredibly useful, especially the highest point. Good catch on the potential DLC boat warp points. The random boxes and scaffolding are designed to let you play with the double jump you just got from the worm mission. The TM reward makes this obvious: Acrobatics Regarding the Pokémon center in the cave, I think the map was designed so you can get almost anywhere on foot if you don’t like riding. It took about four hours, but I was able to use running, falling, and the battle warp exploit to traverse all of the map except for the corner just past the fighting Team Star base. On foot, many of the paths I skipped on my first play through made complete sense. Not everyone has a time shifted super dragon bike, so it is good, from a lore perspective, that these paths exist.

Regarding the Leaking Tower of Paldea, I’m _pretty_ sure it’s a reference to (or a pun on) the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Clearly, someone in the translation team has a sense of humour. 🙃

Painting definitely looks like ash-greninja Dlc to visit the small part of kalos that weren't visitable in x&y would he awesome, maybe AZ and floette drop by to have us help looking around for some of the old things from the AZ cannon

The math teacher at the academy tells the player that she used to be a gym leader and that she left to be a teacher. Perhaps the battle field in Zapapico is just leftover of a gym that no longer exists.

The world is technically open to you before you get to school on that first morning. If you Explorer then it's perpetually a sunny morning in time doesn't start, neither does weather. You can explore everywhere and none of the storyline stuff will start. You won't have your ride Pokemon so you can't go to Every Corner, but you can get to like 98% of the map. the best part is nobody's bothering you. you're just exploring and even the team star bases are empty.

I don't know if it counts as a place, but when I was doing the Glitterati sidequest in the Teal Mask, the last place you find the Glitterati couple is on top of one of the cliffs surrounding Area Zero. Considering I had to use Miraidon's gliding and climbing abilities to even get there myself, I have no idea how THEY got there. (Maybe they took a helicopter...they ARE super rich).

my favourite place is the pool in the town for the bug gym where i accidentally nearly softlocked myself because i couldnt swim out of it

There are multiple sections on the right side and northern right that go far out of bounds for no reason leading into glades and openings with nothing in them.

There is one werid cave in Area Zero thats super hidden and you don't ever need to go, its spawned behind one of the waterfalls, you have to fly down and use, your legendary to get up but it has a chancey and a few tms, not really anything interesting in it though, especially since you can get the Tms elsewear, making it the most uless place in Area Zero

I love when people say the off limits zone is hinting at a DLC area. Spain has two important archipelagos (Canary Islands and Balearic Islands) that don't have any representation in the game, so it's likely it would be based on those. But yeah the barren zone with literally nothing on it is *screaming* DLC
