Your library card with the title go eat worms reminded me of when my sisters and I were kids and feeling beat up and trampled on, we'd sing a song that went...nobody likes me, everybody hates me, going to the garden and eat some worms. Thanks for the memory! Loving this journal.😁❤

Hello from New Mexico' US, You are a hoot to watch. Really love the brown paper bag creations but love everything you make, I've been making journals for about 10 years. Hope I can keep going for another 10, hahaha because I'm an old lady already 71. Moving to a retirement village where I'll be teaching how to make junk journals, should be fun. I'll be using some of your great ideas!! I'll be sure to give you credit.

To keep the paper from ripping where the button is sewn on, lay a straight pin or a thin toothpick over the holes in the button while stitching. This makes a shank that gives room directly under the button for thread to wind around, so that there isn’t so much pressure on the paper. I always use this method when sewing buttons on clothing in order to prevent holes in the fabric where the button is sewn. As well, I sometimes add a clear button on the back to provide additional support. For paper, a couple of layers of paper glued together can serve the same purpose.

Thank you so much for the fabulous tip Patricia. I'm just about to film the last part and I'm definitely going to mention it. The mad thing is I had this information somewhere in the depths of the memory banks. My mum used to make things and sell them when I was growing up. One of the things she made was fabric toiletry pouches with lace trim and s fancy button closure. She always used a thin clear button on the back. She was probably up there somewhere shouting at me😅 Thank you for bringing a lovely memory to the surface 😊🤗💜

Love this. Tfs. Annoyed you are allowed to be Julie. Today, after a week of flooding around Durban South Africa and loss of almost 400 thus far, this video gives me loads of joy. We have no water and no power for a week but I can at least craft. Loads of love ❤️

Oh my, I love this journal. Maybe I will try this one first. I don’t have any Kraft cardstock. Believe it or not I never liked it or used it in my cardmaking. I need to go hit Michaels craft store. Thank you so much for considering those of us who are beginners! I think that you have given me the inspiration that i need. I have watched dozens and dozens of videos and have been having a wonderful time doing that but the whole purpose is to get over my fears and just dive in, cutting and glueing and maybe a little cussing at my newbie mistakes. Of all the videos I have watched I find yours the least intimidating and most inspiring. I’m going to have a go at this…it is only paper after all and I’m not going to use my😅 Granny’s jewelry or silver bits to embellish anything😂

So funny about the leaf blower! My neighbor across the street uses his EVERYDAY! All year around. We live in Arizona, and few trees have actual leaves, so not sure what he is blowing. His front patio area must be clean enough to eat off!

I may have missed it. Where do you get the pack of flora fauna tickets (tied up with a loop of jute).? Lovely lovely project! Enjoyed the process and your running commentary, and the products you used. The end result is super and do-able. My granny called them bobkins too!
