The extra party members looking at Mario and the door made me cry tears of joy you know what I would love to see once you have obtained everything your party members and the stars all of them just nod at each other and smiled or just a simple nod buddies I’m about to cry again😇😊🥲🥹🧡💛

@@BlaizeTheDragon The thing is that Mario’s “back sprite” is like a half back and half side sprite. Whereas the new partner sprites are pure back sprites. Flurrie’s in particular looks really weird. 😐

I recently learned that the Sirena Beach manta fight in Sunshine was also intended to be this, because of just how many independent entities it can be split into (nearly 100, if you split it into nothing but tiny ones before killing any of them). Never realized that Smorg is the same way, I always saw it as "whoa, freaky boss" without thinking about the technical aspects of it. ...Now that you bring it up, you could say the same about the 101 (suspiciously close to 128 👀) Punies, which in the second Jabbie battle means there's _over 200 moving entities onscreen at once._

There’s a reason for that. When asked if they could make a new paper Mario Nintendo asked what kind of gimmick or feature they would have to make it worthwhile. The one they came up with was have an bunch of NPC models on screen at once, which is mostly why those scenes (and the audience system) exist

@@Melonpostingif you compare the theme of the hot dog stand panic with the new theme, they don't seem to be the same. That makes me wonder if they're going to change some of the music, considering the Paper Mario 64 theme at the beginning of the remake's reveal trailer (in mario's house).

Maybe it's a completely new theme for some kind of extra content? As SquidCake mentioned, a new arrangement of the main theme of PM64 was used in the first trailer, so there might be some kind of new story episode or major sidequest or something that uses new music.
