Wow! I’ve seen many paper models on KZfaq & they’re great, but I can always see the seams between the shells on the fuselage or small imperfections unique to paper models. Your Ryan is perfect! Absolutely incredible! Please do more. Gary

Powiedz kolego jak sklejasz np. Bomby czy te butle żółte za kabiną, że tak ładnie wychodzi ci ten dziubek z kilku trójkątów? Szybkę robiłeś sam czy kupiłeś gotową?

Sposób sklejania takich kopułek przedstawiłem w swojej relacji. Tutaj masz odnośnik od razu do właściwego posta, w którym opisuję technikę klejenia takich elementów (niżej jest opis dotyczący większych kopułek - te sklejam już trochę inaczej): papermodels.pl/thread-9568-post-144546.html#pid144546 Szybkę robiłem na początku sam, ostatecznie kupiłem gotową i na jej podstawie zrobiłem kolejny odlew do wytłoczenia bo jednak kupna nie była odpowiednio przejrzysta. 2 Questions: 1) How did you make the seams between the parts disappear? 2) What did you use for the cockpit window glass?

2 Answers: 1) The key is precise cutting parts so they fit together without any gaps between. 2) I used 0,5mm PETG VIVAK foil to make window glass. Just check my topic about building this model - I covered there almost everything. papermodels.pl/thread-9568.html Since it is in polish, google translate may be helpful :). If you have more questions or not everything is clear, just ask. I will try to give you more in-depth answer :)

Just watched your vid again - unbelieveable how you got that finish. Congratulations. As you can see I'm in a long queue of paper modellers wanting to know how! Question: 3) How did you make the buckles and sliders on the pilots seatbelt? Are they paper - surely not!

Of course it is not made of paper :D. I used silver copper/iron wire of 0,2mm thickness if I remember correctly.

Dzięki! Ja kupiłem stojak JH models w jadarhobby ale z tego co widzę są już niedostępne. Popytaj na fejsbukowych grupkach modelarzy plastikowych - widziałem tam swego czasu sporo ofert takich stojaczków w rozsądnej cenie :)

PYTANIE ! Czy będzie film o sposobach impregnacji kartonu? Capon, lakier akrylowy, inne sposoby? Model się błyszczy więc jakieś środki zostały użyte :)

Hej! Filmu o impregnacji/lakierowaniu nie przewiduję. Arkusze pokryłem jedną warstwą nierozcieńczonego caponu nakładanego a raczej "wcieranego" pędzlem. Po sklejeniu model polakierowałem warstwą lakieru błyszczącego a na koniec jedną warstwą matu lakierami Motip Acryl. Mimo tego polecam typowo modelarskie lakiery typu Tamiya lub Gunze - Motipy nie są tak wdzięczne przy nakładaniu i przez ich szybki czas schnięcia miałem problem z powstającym odkurzem, który całe szczęście udało mi się wyeliminować przecierając fragmenty szmatką. Lakiery Gunze/Tamiya nie odparowywują tak szybko i taki problem nie występuje.

Te kulki znajdziesz na allegro pod frazą "zestaw narzędzi do modelowania masy cukrowej kule". Z dziurkaczy nie korzystam i większość otworów wycinam ostrzami KB-5 lub KB4-S (firmy Olfa) choć czasami zdarza mi się korzystać ze sztancy biopsyjnej. Są do kupienia w różnych średnicach. :)

Are you actually paying money for a paper model kit? You know, usually you can find a complete template online of the paper model you want to build. What I do after finding my model online (in this case it's the Star Trek USS Reliant, NCC-1864, from the 1982 movie Star Trek II -The Wrath Of Kahn). The templates I find are always super clean and crisp, as they are veector images used for the template. So, starting with page 1, I take a piece of thin paper to my laptop monitor, find my ruler with the cork back, along with my xacto knife, a sharpened pencil with the knife, use the ruler as a straight edge, and trace each template thoroughly and exactly as it appears on the screen. Sometimes I need to lift the paper to make sure I'm tracing the template exactly. Then, after one ofr two or 20 templates, I cut them out from the paper I used to trace them. After they're cut out exactly, I use regular Elmer's glue to glue the piece to a large piece of paper board, letting it dry, then cutting the pieces out again. What I would wind up with is a very labor intensive result, but it's free, I'm an artist and drawing is my thing, and figuring out how to put the damn thing together is always a challenge (sometimes there are assembly instructions, sometimes there aren't). After I draw every single detail exactly, and I mean EXACTLY as it appears in the panels, I'll use the dull edge of the xacto knife to trace the detail into the cardboard pieces. Then after assembling, I'll use the templates as a reference and mix acrylic paints to give it a full color paint job - that is, after I spray the entire model with a glossyy primer white. Doing it like this is a real bitch - tracing, cutting, gluing, cutting out each piece of paper board, painting the whole thing with primer white, oh... I forgot to mention - normally there are a shitload of detailed decals which must be painted very carefully by hand. Talk about the absolute best place to fuck it up, painting the decals - but they're easy to repair. So. I just thought I'd share with you the way I do it. I've only watched half of one of your videos, but if you actually read through all this I suppose I'm obligated to watch all of your videos. Thanky Sai!

Sporo osób opisuje swoje techniki na forach, nie mniej najlepiej było by pokazać to na filmach. Np. klejenie kopułek z listków, nigdy nie udało mi się tego zrobić idealnie, mimo iż stosuje wszystkie kroki. Ciekawi mnie jak można uzyskać tak idealne pasowanie elementów. Nie widać ani jednego garba od wręg. Gdy sklejałem ostatnio model F16, spodnia część kadłuba była płaska i powychodziły mi na niej fale po przyklejeniu na wręgi (1 wręga na segment). Jak uniknąć czegoś takiego (

Pofalowane poszycie to zapewne zasługa zbyt dużej ilości kleju wodnego. Wikolem czy BCG trzeba posługiwać się bardzo oszczędnie a przy klejeniu wręg lepiej jest chyba skorzystać z kleju na bazie rozpuszczalnika np. butaprenu. Samo poszycie kleję klejem wodnym ale nakładam minimalną jego ilość. Nie wiem czy zaglądałeś do moich relacji ale opisałem w nich chyba większość jak nie wszystkie stosowane techniki i "triki" ułatwiające klejenie. Z nagraniem jak kleję kopułki jest problem bo jest to bardzo dynamiczna czynność i ciężko uchwycić jest to jak pracuję nad tego typu elementami. W relacji Ryana opisałem sposób na klejenie małych i dużych kopułek. Starałem się opisać to w jak najbardziej szczegółowy sposób ale jeśli będziesz miał wątpliwości - pytaj śmiało. I just try to be as precise as I can. Here you can find some informations and more in depth tutorials about building process. I highly recommend using Chrome translator since it was written in polish. papermodels.pl/showthread.php?tid=9568&pid=144455#pid144455 papermodels.pl/showthread.php?tid=9568&pid=142322#pid142322 I use transparent, waterbased glue called "Brand Clear Glue" most of the time.
