If you are talking about strings, here I used regular paper for printers with density of 80 g/m2 - two strips of such paper are glued together with a cyanoacrylate (superglue), as Henry Forster correctly assumed. Actually after your question I realized that I even didn't try to use "single" strips of paper, so right now I changed 2nd string with the ordinary single strip of paper with density = 180 g/m2 (and width is the same, 3mm). And of course each sheet of paper has it's own direction of the fibers, so the strip should be cut along with the fibers direction So, surprisingly, it can withstand the same tension, it can be tuned up to A of the 3rd octave and does not break. The only thing is that it sounds more quiet comparing to the previous string. And this is rather because "raw" paper is more "loose" than the paper + cyanoacrilate, which, as Henry Forster mentioned, become more close to plastic

The most complex thing is to create a paper screws - they were made of paper sticks, each with several layers of paper strips wound in a spiral and covered with superglue to increase strength. The second main part is paper gears, but they are not too hard to make, you should only make sure that they have skew teeth (to fit screw thread) and they are not too small in diameter, because paper can not withstand high load in case of small gears. Спасибо! Про скрипку когда-то думал, но там принцип звукоизвлечения другой, пока не представляю особо как можно что-то подобное смычку из бумаги сделать

В этом видео тоже есть пружины.) Просто у скрипки пружину делают из... (как бы это правильно написать) распила дерева вдоль волокон. Пружина из дерева будет гнуться, а из бумаги (по такому же принципу - нет). И дека скрипки несколько прочнее деки этой гитары.:)

зубъя в шестернях оклеены полоской бумаги (с необходимыми сгибами), в один слой. Винты также из бумаги - на бумажный стержень наклеиваются по спирали несколько тонких бумажных полосок суперклеем, чтобы получилась прочная резьба. Возможно и ПВА подойдет, не пробовал, но думаю что при использовании ПВА нужно каждый слой просушивать

I think the main problem after scaling will be not a friction but loss of strength, but I think 1.5-2 times will still be fine. For bigger scaling, you'll need to use paper with appropriately increased density

я как-то думал об этом, но т.к. я стараюсь делать модели целиком из бумаги, хотелось бы и пластинку, и иглу и т.д. тоже из бумаги изготовить, а это я пока не придумал как сделать. Может когда-нибудь в будущем )
