My favorite part of this video is that you’re so respectful of the lady that had this unit. You’ll also make a decent profit. A $10 unit yields way more than some of them that cost more than 10x that amount. Way to go, Rene!

I came here from Taco Stacks channel, was catching up on a few of his videos I missed. I like the way you went through this storage unit, you showed up pretty much everything, slowly enough so we could actually see it, and you showed respect to the previous owner. Thank you for that, so many younger people doing these videos don't stop to think about what the previous owner might be going through.
@PaperandMoose3 жыл бұрын
Glad you found the channel! Storage units can be a hit or miss with viewers, as some people have strong feelings on whether or not buying a storage unit is fair/moral. I see it as a way to be able to "save" the items and get them back out to be re-used, as we know that the storage facility would just end up dumping everything into the trash.

@paulanull87313 жыл бұрын
Hi. If not silver (and I question that just because of the look, I am thinking really good stainless.) they are Italian made items and well worth whatever you get. Check them out online because I am guessing at least 40.00 USD. Boy the Italians make beautiful items.

I looked it up : Pennsylvania Correctional Industries makes things to sell also (but you have to be an approved buyer) from their website : "......that are available for sale to non-profit organizations and government entities located throughout Pennsylvania." But the rest of the things in the locker add up to a picture of someone who perhaps had been an inmate themselves.

Several pairs of nice shoes and most importantly the nice lot of cleaning supplies. The vintage tooled leather bag should sell for around $50 on eBay . We never know where we will find you next!!! The way that you are branching out, you are on a great start making this a full time job. But we can make sure that you will be very respectful of the person that had the locker. I wonder with the tan leather shoes was she was in prison OR worked there???

Hiya Renee, this was bittersweet finding that she was incarcerated, the info on cancer, then all the kids stuff. I’ve concocted a story in my head (Oy my imagination!) and it’s sad. However I’m glad you got your feet wet with a $10 locker! That chair, flip locally, maybe Facebook marketplace? It’s an antique from around the turn of the century, looks to be Eastlake in style (couldn’t see enough details, “Herter Brothers” is a very good name), the upholstery looks to be in excellent condition, the stuffing should be horse hair. The style has gotten quite expensive in the NE, even if you got $50-$100 it’d be a steal for someone! Price high, take best offer. Tooled leather handbags sell incredibly well online. I’d say that one would sell easily for $40 as it’s in great shape! I’d put the microscopes online since so many people switched to home schooling; the public schools are on crazy schedules you might as well home school! (Wish I’d home schooled.) The rest, flea market, unless you found good comparable prices that’ll bring a good price online! Have a lovely day! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️

I am hoping that the recovery coins were a silver lining in this woman's story. She did seem very put together, so I have hope that she made it and just simply moved on with her life, wanting to leave these items behind. You'll never know, but I'm glad that I was able to save these items - such as the chair - and give them a chance to be enjoyed again!
@carolgleeson87433 жыл бұрын
Hi Jet! I also have a picture going on in my head of someone who had a tough life, was in the correctional institute and maybe got a job at McDonalds after. Then had cancer. Maybe (sad to say) passed away and that is why her stuff was left. And that chair was her one treasured possession maybe a family heirloom. It is very pretty! It does look like Eastlake! That is the prize in that locker. Definitely worth the $10. Way to go Renee!

I was more concerned about finding the cancer booklet. You always hope that the person would have had a friend/family member that could have stepped in for assistance, but sometimes that is not the case. It is the same story with estate sales - we do not know why the family/close friends did not choose to keep items, we can only be glad that we are able to move the items on to another person/home so that they can continue to be used and appreciated. Heck, I was excited about finding a whole container of Q-Tips! Haha
