Step 5 (2:13) is very important for later steps around 49 and so. I missed this line 2 times and I vas not able to finnish later. Also thickness of the paper. I used 80g/m in the end with success. Thanks for Your tutorial!

I notes that too ! "Step 4 (2:09) is very important for later steps around 10" ! Should do Step 4 for 4 corners. So can help for step 10 to find the "point" to fold !

good tutorial but it was a little confusing because the really simple steps are shown at a very slow speed, takes a long time to do the simple basic steps. but then in the more advanced and complex steps it feels rushed and i have to keep skipping back to see it.

This is one of the very best origami dogs in my opinion. I really like Friedman's precise mathematical approach that reduces guessing. Small angle changes in the couple of steps leading to the head provide opportunities to experiment with ear shape, head & snout shape, and head elevation. I discovered a way to reverse the color of the tail to white, but I'm not sure it's desirable. Not surprisingly, there are a couple of steps shown in the video that are a bit different from the methods diagrammed in the author's book "Dog Origami." For the holidays, I start with 15 inch square red wrapping paper with a silver snowflake motif. I present it as "Santa's Dog", but with an inscription pasted inside that credits the design as "Friedman's Beagle."

Skill Experience Practice and above all Patience. End result is superb - I'm full of admiration for this, as you need more than the ability to fold a paper dart or a water-bomb to create these super models. They should be sold online!

some of the steps like 101 are hard to follow because it doesn’t involve exact folding but pulling and manipulating of the paper that isn’t really shown or explained. it just has to be figured out on your own by trial and error

I gave up around step 97, it goes too fast and isn’t clear enough for me. At least I have a nice dogs head. Maybe next time I’ll understand these steps
