I like binding like that, except with elastic, because the pages are refillable and replaceable. Takes the pressure off if you don’t have to worry about mistakes on a page😊

I have so much scrapbook paper and am anxious to see any ways to use it for making journals. I have been wanting to create a journal cover plus pages with scrapbook paper, but hesitated to figure out how to do it. I really appreciate your hard work to figure it out! You are so talented!

Thank you for this video. Being a beginner, spine covering has been an issue for me. I never thought to do it like this as this will solve my problem of trying to cover everything at once and ending up with cracking. So happy I found you, you are just the teacher I need!!!

Beginner Junk Journal-er here 🙋‍♀️ Your turorial was easy to understand. And u have a lot of great ideas. I plan on making this my 2nd project. I was always intimated with the sewing of the journals and signatures (had NO idea what it all meant). I'm going to save this vid so I can reference back to. Tyfs ❤

I sew each signature with a 3 hole pamphlet stitch, then I do exactly this, and instead of stitching through the spine, the method you're showing is a goodway to secure those signatures, and much easier than stitching into the spine. I personally find this a good way to make journals with multiple signatures xx thankyou x

I used to use paper for the cover when I first started but it is easy to break the paper when I was using the journal. So I like to use fabric now for the cover, I really like the flexibility of the fabric. I love no sew journal since I don't have a sewing machine. Although sewing does give the journal more character. Usually I use elastic or twine for my binding but i never use lace, ribbon or fabric. It is something new i can try! Thank you for the tutorial.

This is the only way that I do my journals anymore I always do twine binding or this method because it makes it look so much prettier and you get that extra decoration on the spine with the fabric tassles❤

Would like to know where you got your colorful eyelets.. it's hard to find the ones that fit the crocodile in colors? Also the turquoise colored small envelopes(glassine?) thank you!
