Inspiration U- I'm very influenced by the bossa nova because i learned brazilian music with a brazilian during 2 years so it influenced me a lot. The bossa nova, 50's jazz, vocals arrangement, the Four Frenchmen. A- I like Fitzgerald and Bukowski. Première Fois - First Time A- The first time I met Ulysse it was after a Patti Smith's concert at Église Saint-Germain-des-Prés. I remember I doubled everyone in the waiting line, alone, to see her. Very cool interview, to see their influences coming from music of the older generation.. I myself like bossa nova, and soft music, easy listening stuff. Bossa nova though originally from Brazil has gotten some respect in France. I'm hoping the younger generation gets into it also. 50s jazz is cool but I even get into big band and swing, stuff from the 1920s and 30s. When it comes to these I actually prefer the retro bands rather than the original though. I like seeing someone today doing these music. Bonjour French people! Thanks for your music, stay cool!
