I just received my copy. Against all odds, it's actually pretty damn good. Looks good, sounds good, plays good, I have no complaints. I'd probably be more blown away if SOR4 hadn't come out first, but I'm glad I finally received it. Definitely a keeper.

Maybe they'll fix it in the future or Analogue will patch it. There is also incompatibilities across other original hardware variants it seems.

​@@PatTheNESpunk Keep in mind this game has been in development since 2012 (named Project Y at the time) (original promised release date was 16/08/2013) (web.archive.org/web/20121121045658/www.magicalgamefactory.com/en/factory/projecty_2/), crowdfunded through their own website and if you read the recent comments in their facebook page, they ignored tons of refund requests in the last years, shutdown their forums without previous notice, shutdown their e-mail, left a trail of unpaid contributors, they held a fake/fiasco release party back in 2018, etc. They have another crowdfunded and incomplete project called Project N that was supposed to be a SNES RPG game, which they have completely removed from their website, leaving all the investors without the game and with no refund. The ones who received Paprium this week are located in France. Shipment from US to US and Latin America hasn't happened yet despite their new website claiming that the game was released on December 16. It's incompatible with all the clone hardware, the Mega SG and some of the original Mega Drive/Genesis revisions as well; though they don't provide a complete list. Not quite, but close. In Ponzi scheme, they promised you money they never had in exchange of your money. In order to get that money so they could pay you, you had to look for someone else to cover for it, so you started to recruit more and more. The more there were, the least chances they had to get their "investment", but those few at the top could get richer and richer, that's why it was also called pyramid schemes. These are pre-sales mistaken as investments and goodwill. In a Ponzi, those at the top could get rich until caught and those at the bottom got nothing. In these, those at the bottom might be the only ones that get a benefit as those on the top could lose even more so they could deliver the promised item. They are schemes, alright, but differ from project to project, sometimes they run with the money and deliver nothing, or they deliver and go bankrupt, or they got scammed and everybody loses. It's just dumb to keep giving money to these projects.

What's wrong with Cyber punk? I'm playing on PC at not had any problems..(actually a few broken quests,However I am having a blast)

@@PaulBadman Other than the very-rocky path to release, most things wrong with Cyberpunk are on the console versions. You did good getting it on PC.

It's just a game after all, one way or another they will be sold on the secondary market and either at a reasonable price or not. Someone will dump the ROM or if they're smart they release it digitally. It's not the end of the world😉

The sound the graphics the gameplay everything was spot on pretty much the best brawler ever released on the mega drive... The one bad thing is that the enemy AI could be better.... But the prices skyrocketed..... The normal version is 130 bucks.... But the European limited edition now costs about 450 bucks with a discount of 26 % 330 I guess.....

Cyberpunk being pulled off the Sony store isn’t what people seem to think it is. I think people are thinking that Sony pulled the game because it’s broken. They clearly didn’t, since, As many people point out, mini games on the store are broken. They pulled Cyberpunk because cd project red Told people to ask for refunds. And if Sony is going to spend money processing refunds, they are not going to sell the game. It makes no sense to continue selling something that people are just going to try to refund.

The reason they (watermelon) took the money early (preproduction) is because the backers (us/customers) were involved and voted on many aspects of the game starting from scratch. There were open forums on their website back before the website was taken down and all this paypal mess and huge delays happened.

Well here's the thing with star citizen that people just do not want to understand. It's technically out, just not finished. The game is in active open development (meaning you get to play it as it's being developed), it's not locked behind closed doors (meaning you can't play it and know only what the devs tell you). Some games take quite a while to go from concept to finished product, SC is not a COD title where you get a new game every year.

To be fair, Watermelon is a fairly well-known (if not infamous) company in the world of modern Genesis games, and copies of Pier Solar have gone for some pretty exorbitant prices on the used market- and copies of Paprium probably will also provided the game isn't a complete mess. I don't think naïve is the right word on this situation; if they had a more solid record of shipping product, then they might've been on point with this. Rather I'd say it's audacious of them to expect people to back them again, given their history of repeated product delays and poor communication.
