Ooooo, a Celric Wrap would be awesome for a strap cuz it would really secure the strap on your shoulder, and Celtic weave would be kicka$$ on clothing like on Elbow patches and even pockets.

Cool vid! Thanks. Have you tried weaving a Paracord Pool Cue Case? If you have or ever do, I'd like to see that. Even a Attache Pool Cue Case Wrap would be great to see! 👍👍👊

Hi I’ve got 30meters (100ft) is paracord. Do you know the maximum length of guitar strap I can get? Thanks, Brent

I want that jig!!!!

Would there be any way to double the width of the strap, and maybe use two colors?
@camgatz4 жыл бұрын
reaaaally wish you'd have used two different colors for the wide trilobite so I could see what it would look like. Otherwise fantastic video
@ParacordPlanet4 жыл бұрын
Good idea! I imagine it would look similar to a two color normal trilobite. Might make a nice looking guitar strap!

What is the name of the metal needle(?) tool that is being used for weaving? And, any suggestions where I can get one. I unable to understand the name (old man hearing). Thanks!

Can you do this without a jig? Or what would you recommend tying it to?
@ParacordPlanet7 ай бұрын
Great questions. The bigger the Paracord project, the more helpful it is to have a jig! Without it, you'd need two dowel-like objects fixed however many inches apart that you can eventually slide your project off of. Here's the jig we used in this video: www.paracordplanet.com/60-ultimate-jig/.

A diy where the first step is “take out this custom jig” is a bummer.
@harrysemenick7795 жыл бұрын
so what do you have your jig set at??
@ParacordPlanet5 жыл бұрын
The jig was set to 36 inches. The overall length of the final strap adjusts from about 46 inches to 56 inches.

ParacordPlanet thanks. im makin one for a friend but he doesnt want the adjustable part. just all paracord. so i wanted to know how much i needed.
@ParacordPlanet5 жыл бұрын
@@harrysemenick779 if you are making the whole thing out of paracord weave, you will probably want to go longer. A standard guitar strap measures about 40-60 inches.

"No special tools needed!" :Busts out a custom fucking wooden jig:
@ParacordPlanet4 жыл бұрын
Haha! The jig isn't absolutely necessary, but it does speed up the process!

Would this strap work for electric guitar?
@ParacordPlanet4 жыл бұрын
Likely. The adjustable slide might slip with the added weight, but otherwise it would work.

Question is why wouldn't it
@andreimadalin25265 жыл бұрын
what is the diameter of the paracord? 4mm or 2mm?
@ParacordPlanet5 жыл бұрын
We used standard 550 paracord for this project which is 4mm.
@jackwhite42144 жыл бұрын
do I need the whole 100 yards? I only have 50 yards of paracord :(
@ParacordPlanet4 жыл бұрын
You only need 100 feet-so 50 yards will be more than enough! 😊 Good luck.

How can I do it without a jig?
@ParacordPlanet3 жыл бұрын
Hi, You would just need to anchor both ends to something. I've seen people use a makeshift setup with a big clamp on their dining room table, or nails in a long 2x4 board.
@jean-pierrest-louis28302 жыл бұрын
Sorry but it does not make the pattern you are showing at the end no way

It’s not really about the Hobby it’s about the look and color options. Have something stronger and that looks different
