Paragliding, Parachute and Hang Gliding difference and information on these aerial adventure sports in India.
How to identify between a parachute and paraglider and some brief information on hang glider and paraglider like material, airspeed, launch speed, safety, glide ratio, and some other relatively unseen adventure sports in India like speed flying.
This is not a educational video and should not be taken as a part of learning aerial sports. I am only giving brief information as per my experience in this field. I am 73 years old, reasonably fit, can jog , walk , cycle etc . Highly interested in learning Paragliding at a best place nearer to BIKANER My enthusiasm is extreme, lows also there . Trying it at Jodhpur or go to Himachal . Can someone guide me in details or talk to me . Tried it also at Solan nala long back , read lots of good books and see a large of videos . Do someone guide me . Thanks

I would strongly suggest you to go to Jodhpur and learn PG on a Winch (rope tied to vehicle which is detached after you attain reasonable height). This is the safest form for launch and one of my senior colleague at 60 learnt the same at Jodhpur. Video here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oLicdpaVxrm7fok.html He then also flew from Bir Billing 2-3 times. Solan is not good for learning as it is too crowded and accident prone and also quite far. Average life is upto 10 years depends on usage and care. Can even be more. Some I know have it from 15 years and still flyable. You can check my other videos for details. Current Average Prices between 2 to 3 lacs.

Frankly, this sport needs personal attention to learn, it is very difficult to put it in a video. Moreover even in ground wing handling there are high chances of accidents and which is why no one puts its videos. I would strongly recommend you to join any reputed school near you for a introductory PG course. 🙂

Hi, unfortunately no proper school to learn HG in India. You will have to learn from some individual pilots. It is also more physically demanding than PG.

Microlight has a fixed hard wing with tyres. Almost like an aircraft and similar to a powered hanglider. Paraglider is a soft form and only retains its shape by wind.

Very difficult field for business purpose. You have to gain lot of experience. Will take many years. Also business permission from govt not easy for new commers. You will loose lot of money. Best thing you can do is make business partner with someone who is already in this field for long time.

There is no fixed answer for non engine gliders as it depends on skill and weather. It could be a few kms to a hundred. With motor, Indian Army holds record for approx 314 km nonstop in 7 hours.

What permissions from govt authorities are required to fly pg?

Very difficult question to answer correctly. But what I have learnt in past is there are no said rules for PG permission. If doing commercial flying you need to contact DM with the plan who will authorise you and also give clearance from local police station. There is no point going to police station for permission as they have no direct authority for this. If you are flying non commercial, then do it without the above. If everything goes well for a long time, then approach DM for formal permission with flight logs and other info. Now a days most govt officials are quite supportive on these sports. If explained correctly permission should not be difficult.

bro my weight is 93kg and i want to fly a hang glider (never flyed) which hang glider would be better for me? there is no hill near by but have open ground all around ..... can you tell me which hang glider size i can make?

Hi, Pls do not risk your life by self learning or even under guidance of someone who knows flying. Please learn from a proper training school. In your case there are no HG training schools in India but PG is equivalently fun to fly and you will find many in Bir/Billing and Kamshet/Pune. Please watch my other videos and their description for details. For you a paraglider of 100-120kg weight range will be good. Best wishes.

@@InfoDays thank you.. im from Bangladesh 💔 i dont have any information about training school sooo i have to learn from experiencing and videos from pros ..... and i can make a high quality hang glider but i wont ride it until fully tested... by making it i hope i could make it fly like 10/15feet from ground it will be more than enough for me...... vai mere to jindegi meh udne ka sok hai risk lena akdam bekar hai i know, lekin agar meh 10 feet vi upar ura to meh full bangladesh meh 1st or 2nd hang glider pe glide karunga or oh vi khud ki mehnat pe agar meh risk nehi lunga to meh udh nehi paunga risk hai lekin ak jidh vi hai jo mujhe age jane k liye himnat de rahi hai 🥰 by the way bohot pehele apka pg instrument pe video dekha tha bohot accah tha lekin bad me mujhe pata chala pg price in Bangladesh is more like 7-9lakh bdt (low budget one, just pg no extra items) i have to go cheap and do it myself wish me luck

i made a design from Learning from videos delta wing designs and kite making i made a delta wing kite with questionable structure and it still flew flawlessly from that knowledge i think i can make one that will (hope so) make me glide but still i needed a info about wing span and weight to wing span ratio so it can carry me i need just a simle info and you wont be responsible for any kind of act... if something happens to me i will be held responsible... 🌸🙏 please tell me wing span of a hg that can carry a 93kg person easily

Rectangular skydiving parachute on import costs approx 5lac onwards. Complete container + parachute + reserve parachute + altimeter and other accessories cost approx 7 lac and onwards.

Paragliders are available for weight range solo 60-80 80-100 100-120 - tandem 100-160 120-220 kgs. All manufacturers have different range. For tandem (2 people) size 100-160 or 120-220 kgs is used. I make less videos because I do other primary work and this is only my hobby.

Not much use in making career in paragliding as there is no high income and very risky also. It take 3-5 years to become a good pilot.

Paraglider 60 kg to 120 kg for solo & 140 kg to 300 kg approx for tandem, depending upon glider size. Hang glider is around 55 kg to 110kgs for solo. For tandem I do not have correct information but must be around 140 kg max.
