When growing up I always had a parakeet. Oh! How he loved to talk. He would help with homework dishes even my shower before bed. He was only in his cage when we where not home. He knew how to get out. I never had to place my name on my homework, he would fringe it all the way around. When I started playing several instruments he would whistle along in there tone. They are truly a wonderful pet.

I had a parakeet that looked almost exactly like yours. Mine never talked, but he was extremely robust and reached 20 years, which is a long life span for these birds. Kiwi is a very bubbly bird - his talking skills are amazing :)
