When you have a tight spot, you always first deeg in with the nose and exit then the car so that the car is already 40% inside the parking and then just reverse. M xmas.

Salut. J'ai regardé tes vidéos en une seule fois tellement j'adore. Je t'écris en français car je suis français. Je suis de paris. N'ayant pas d'argent pour faire ce que tu fais, je regarde avec le téléphone... Pas d'argent pour un ordinateur non plus. J'aimerais bien pouvoir faire ça, j'ai toujours adoré les jeux de construction. Pourquoi ne pas inventer des machines simples qui faciliteraient le quotidien? Dans la cuisine, ou une alarme simple et efficace qui piège les intrus, ou distributeur de soda, etc... Un moyen de préparer à manger pour le chat automatique, quand il appuie sur un bouton, il a le repas, sur l'autre bouton, une friandise, mais juste une pendant 5 ou 6h... Un système qui ouvre la trappe pour le chat d'une heure à une autre et fermée la nuit ou le jour selon ce que tu préfères... Je sais pas, mais il y a trop de possibilités. Tu vas avoir une maison en Legos après... 😁😁😁 Bonne continuation et merci

I think my favourite aspect of these videos is that there's a certain point while I'm watching where I think "right, this is as far as this idea can go, great show" and then I look at the video length to see that it's not even halfway done, and the mechanisms continue to get more complex and frankly ridiculous. Top shelf stuff. Keep it up!

There's also the infamous 5th wheel one. Somewhere in the 1900's someone made a car where the spare wheel on the rear was also used to park. It was connected to the "prop shaft" via a gear which was activated by lowering (and therefore raising the whole rear of the car off the ground) and meshing the gears. It then gave the ability to rotate the whole car into the spot after it was driven into it with just the nose. Ludicrous, but amusing.

The 90 degree steering was crazy enough but the expanding chassis modification looks like something out of transformers lol Awesome builds :)

The closest real world comparison would be portal axles.

I was honestly hoping to see you break out some Mecanum wheels for the sideways slide instead, ahaha Those things are always so cool to me, you should give it a try some time :) Trying to program it to drive in a perfect circle was my first challenge for fun. Thanks for sharing still though, awesome builds and ingenious solutions to some simple looking problems :)

WOW. Would be awesome to see all your Independent vehicle technologie topics combined into one. A 6x6 Truck with manual transmission, low range, clutch and diffs, pulling a steered trailer through rough terrain, showing the benifits of its nifty suspension....😍

If you want a really easy way to achieve easy parallel parking, use a tricycle with front streering. I use an electric jigger at work and I can park in a space that's basically as wide as the jigger itself with surprising ease.

that was awesome. i have a special request though. i always dreamed of being a drifter but it's too expensive irl. that's why i was wondering if you could make a tutorial on making a drift lego car. an interesting project for car architects like you as well, cause it involves rethinking the entire car. tires, camber, suspension etc.

I love these types of videos! I have played hours and hours of farming simulator and mostly all the games feature crab steering, rear steering, etc. This is a great representation of these types of steering.

Impressive pulley use for drive! actually all of it impressed but that was particularly good the way it also converted the angle by stretching a little. Excellent model skills my friend! 👍🍺🇬🇧

It might just be legos but still really impressive. I really enjoy the 90 degree drive. As of right now my First Robotics Competition team is working on a swerve drive robot. Your lego build just inspire me to continue to work and problem solve.

just was thinking about it!!!! my team is sticking with other forms of holonomic drive (keep an eye out for #2097 and you'll see what I mean) but once we get enough man-power, we plan on making swerve in house too :)

Nice video. For the wheels turning all around - you can pass drive input through a small turntable. I did a model like this long time ago. Btw with motors and rubber bands you're not guaranteed repeatability when it comes to the direction in which your're moving.

Also to make model more elegant, drivetrain can go through the turntable. I know hard to do in such scale, but hey, all is possible ;)

Seen concepts with these ideas "back in the day" in magazines. There was one concept that that would fold up oven smaller. When the driver got out it would tilt the passenger compartment so the wheels could come even closer together. Kind of like your last vehicle.

Loved seeing the use of a swerve drive as the 90° steering as a member of an international FRC team I rarely see swerve drives built correctly my only criticism is that the wires severely restrict movement we during last years world championship almost every team uses gears to allow power in any orientation

Having a seperate motor per wheel to do 90° steering is cool but it would be even cooler if there was a transmission from a central engine to the wheels.
