The Market have been suffering over the past month, with all the three indexes recording losses in recent weeks. My $400,000 portfolio is down by approximately 20%, any recommendations to scale up my returns before retirement will be highly appreciated.

Investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. I've learned this from my own experience. If you're new to investing or don't have much time, it's best to get advice from an expert

A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

How can one find a verifiable financial planner? I would not mind looking up the professional that helped you. I will be retiring in two years and I might need some management on my much larger portfolio. Don't want to take any chances.

Deborah Lynn Dilling is the licensed fiduciary I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment..

Thank you for this tip. it was easy to find your coach. Did my due diligence on her before scheduling a phone call with her. She seems proficient considering her résumé.

I agree with you my friend, Having money in investment really makes it easier but one needs to work with an expert if you want to make sufficient passive income.. Imagine investing over 200k and getting 5% profit, thats too low when people are raking up 200% profit with the same capital

Very true, Despite having no prior investing knowledge, I started investing before the pandemic and pulled in a profit of approximately 950k that same year. In reality, all I was doing was getting professional advice.

Thanks Adam, great video! How much would it cost to have you build a plan like this for my wife and I ? We both have a relatively simple pension with no debt. Keep up the great work 🎉🍻😎🇨🇦

You should do an episode on how to handle a LIRA and a rrsp. In my situation, I am drawing down the most possible from my now LIF, which is doing well. If all things remain equal, my OAS will be completely clawed back by the time I am 73/74 due to the success of my LIF. Basically too much money when old. In hindsight, I should have moved a bigger portion into my RRSP when I converted the LIRA, and melted that larger RRSP down. When I planned my LIF, I was working on a 5% return, I am getting around 8%, which I guess is a good problem to have.

If you will have an income of $148,000 for 2024 you OAS is totally clawed back. Why are you even here looking for financial advice if you have that kind of income. Donate to a charity to reduce your taxes. Calgary Children hospital is great and they are well known to followers of Adam

Finances is only one leg of the retirement banquet table. Without health, family/friends, and a purposeful way to make a contribution with your skills and talents, it really doesn’t matter how many extra zeros you have in your bank account. Many people would love to live be by the Bay of FUNdy!
