In this Grasshopper tutorial, we will study the Koch snowflake Fractal Pattern and how we can model it from scratch. First, we study how the pattern is made and then we will use an equilateral triangle, explode it to its segments and make another equilateral triangle on the mid part of its edges. Hello, I always appreciate your great tutorials. It helps me a lot. I have a few questions on how you make rendering images like your thumbnail. On many thumbnail image of your tutorials, surfaces have the frame. Are you made with the component "Frame" in Lunch Box and extrude them? Also, renderd material like a plastic on your thumbnail is cool! I wonder that you use what kind of plug-in to generate the frame on the surface and what kind of render program get a image like your thumbnail.

Hi Doyoung. Thanks 😊 For the frames I usually use the weaverbird plugin. For Rendering I'm using Keyshot to assign materials to the 3d model

thanks for another good tutorial... how would this be adapted to build a solid 3d koch snowflake? is it workable?

Do you mean changing the concept from triangle to a pyramid? It's doable for sure! You have to focus on putting another pyramid on each faces
