A sexy Sci-Fi romantic film with a lot of unforeseen evil twists. A young couple looses their only child to a drowning in their swimming pool. Remember, serial killers were once kids themselves! So , ppl need to stop thinking that ALL kids are innocent bc they aren't! I would've said the same thing myself up until 6 yrs ago , but now i know some ppl are born differently and have zero empathy for others. Someone with no empathy can be very dangerous around babies ,animals and elderly ppl! Trust in your gut instincts! If u feel something is off with someone,no matter the age or who they are, keep your eyes open bc more than likely your instinct is feeling that way for a reason!!

But inocent till proved guilty. Even a gut instinct based on no evidence (proof) can be wrong. Some of the trauma an orphaned child may have already witnessed may be far in excess of a newly wed young couple. orphans are people too. So if your gut instincts tell you there is something wrong with the child. You can but your life savings on those correct gut instincts. But the deficiency may be with the young couple who lack the experience of a child twice bereived.

Is the fishy bit your lack of understanding and willingness to tar a mere doll with your personal view of creepy. Have you yourself no crutch to help you get through the night? No sercurity blanket you hold on to. Such as an addyction to alcohol, or incessant chain smoker, or are you carrying around your 3 ounces of dope to supposedly help you cope with your illness. Or prescribed medication. The young child had lost both her parents. Like giving a dummy to a baby to suck here doctor gave her the doll or told her to hold on to the doll as a fill in surrogate. A small comfort to a child in dire need. An orphaned child may have no one to tell her the realities of things.

My colleague has a life-size doll her gran bought her, she doesn't feel right getting rid of it, as her gran has dementia and always asks how the doll is, but she refuses to take it into the house, so it lives in the boot of her car. That's the stuff of nightmares for me.

This movie is SO BEAUTIFULLY crafted in my opinion, I had it on my iPhone WAY back in the day, had it on my IPod Touch, and my iPad. Watched it nonstop!! Thanks SO MUCH for the upload!! I never thought I’d see this AMAZING movie ever again!!!

I was about 9 years old and fell in love with this doll my height that was in a department store window. My mother bought it, but one day I came home from school and my doll was gone. I think it spooked my mother. 😂

When my girl's were 5 and 8, bout 25 yrs ago. My Mum got an old antique porcelain doll from yard sale, my girl's hated it and though porcelain, even in our heat waves, that doll was icy! I had a native Australian spiritual healer come over to bless and clear home and before she even stepped inside asked if I'd recently been given an object that was old, but not wanted and to get it out of the house, as Mum would give me a few thing's like that haha, didn't get concerned til she said - there's a doll in your Home that's not what you think, she even described that there was a hole in the back of the head and when I went into get it took the antique bonnet off! 😮 In the bin it went and I'm the biggest sceptic there is But whoa that's first time I've had a definite experience 👍ta for sharing yours 🇭🇲

The adoption company is a scam. The owner pawns off his daughter to wealthy families so that they write her into their will, then she kills them and keeps the inheritance which she brings back to her parent (her dad - the owner of the adaption agency). OMG!

I am at Minute 42 and this is way creepier than I thought. Anyway, lets wait and see... Wow! This end I did not expect! This is so mean! I strongly recommend not to watch this movie at night, at least not alone, or if you are in a psychologically unstable situation. This is good for some nightmares!

Maybe it's just me, but I'd be very concerned about why a grown man is " friends " with my 8 year old daughter. Then he gives her such a creepy birthday gift. Ms. Rachel would one day disappear, and found as a pile of ashes. I honestly can't stand dolls, they creep me out, and if I didn't have my daughter, there would've never been a doll in my house. She had one doll that was super creepy, it even made my parents nervous, and we noticed that she didn't pay any attention to it, so it disappeared, and she never asked about it. I'm weird, I know, but for my parents to even get creeped out, makes you wonder.

Yeah Cause I want to see how Lacey COMNTINUES to victimize more families after the ones from this movie, Like the ending where the young parents adopt her. I Guarantee that the Adoptive program are the ONES responsible for the way Lacey handles things herself, I honestly feel that the doll is the one who kills people who let her down because she is met with hostility and lack of care or love that is absent from her. I feel the reason Lacey was NEVER caught is because her real Father who runs the adoptive program may have told Lacey that if this new adoptive family neglects her, she is likely always told to just destroy them or KILL THEM!!! :) LOL I think the ending where Lacey kills the mom and the dad in that pool probably demonstrates the LACK of care or selfishness of being met with No love from them and all they did was hire TWO BABYSITTERS that Lacey kills off, for me that might be a consequential decision of theirs. The moment where Lacey's adoptive mother decides to send her away to a BOARDING SCHOOL I was like "REALLY?? WHY THE FUCK.... CAN'T ANYBODY SHOW LOVE AND RESPECT FOR LACEY?!" For me, This movie is soo well done... I really want a sequel too. And the reason why the two parents kept hiring the two babysitters, the old lady and also a Nun, is likely due to them wanting to humiliate Lacey on purpose to discipline her. Another theory is that it's part of their inability to provide some care and comfort and LOVE for Lacey like they Didn't care about her... they Clearly couldn't care, they failed to cause of likely how she was and her association with her good friend HENRY! And also, how Lacey was trying to get the mother's attention, and the moment she tried to hug her after she got back from the hospital, And the mother FAILS to respond and give her a hug too, shows just how Out of Touch she was. Lacey clearly saw this as an insult to injury to her desperation to seek love and guidance and some comfort and joy from others. Her mother failed to do that in a correct manner just because I found her to be too stuck up, or too full of herself and that the Parents of hers, the Adoptive ones, only cared about themselves and for each other and their Love or SEX LIFE... I'm glad they got what they deserved....

I didn't get the ending when the police was involved and they was investigating the murder's of the people that got killed including the man and woman who got electrocuted in the pool. We never got to find out what really happened, it just ended.

Nearly all the films that I've watched dont make any sense and that's the reason why i don't watch them very often. Also i wonder why they brought the police into it when they didn't do a proper investigation, so pointless.

So I have a different take on the ending of this movie, I think Lacey is actually the adoption agency's daughter. At the end she calls him dad and says lacey go get your doll. If you think about it. Perfect scheme. constantly making money of putting her up for adoption. I feel like that's what the ending was insinuating and no one realized.. Also i had a doll my gram gave me with button eyes that you would wine up and it hummed a prayer. I was terrified of it and my gram constantly said ohh its just a doll , I don't by that.

yes you are right and I don't think it was the doll that played a part in the killings it was Lacey's parents at the adoption agency the doll was an excuse good twist tho.

@@toyajohnson9391 The doll had to have played a part in something. The killings or the paranormal occurances. Or both. The locks on all of the doors locking all at once by themselves when the sister came over. Seeing images of the dead daughter and the dead daughter talking through the doll up in the attic. I honestly don't see how Lacy is strong enough to hang up a grown woman on a shower head.

I know it's just a movie but the little girl was the survivor in all 3 murders at the home, her finger prints were all over the shovel and the bush trimmer yet she still gets away with it smh, and I'm sure this wasn't her first family she destroyed.

These movies have affected a lot o f people and they developed "dollphobia".Maybe this doll looks creepy for the needs of the movie,but what's wrong with other pretty looking dolls,particulary cloth dolls?I've made some cloth dolls myself and they are really cute.In any case,any object can be "cursed", not just a doll!

If your child even tolerate to stay close to a creepy doll, that child is not okay. I would have remove this demon out of her head long time ago, a normal child should be afraid of ugly/creepy dolls. No stranger would ever rule my house, I don't care if you asked for whatever it is and even if what I was planned didn't work, you'll never get it I'm the queen of my house and nobody else is.

Really good movie. I was semi shocked about the affair...I kinda suspected it but still. Made me disappointed in the wife n not feel so bad for her especially since she continued to allow that man to work in their home. On another note, all the death surrounding Lacey I would've been got rid of her

Ita not just kids that we do this with tho,I had an ex husband that I was totally blinded by the truth through DV and all. Everyone could see it but me,I took him knocking me on the floor with a closed fist with my 3 week old baby in my arms to leave him. So yeah love is blind as well,we tend to look past things when we are invested whether it be with kids, spouse,loved ones etc.
