I've just come back from 2 weeks in Japan and one of the must see things on my list was the pop-up Parappa the Rapper Cafe. Here's a look at it for those who aren't able to make it or would love to have a look! Please feel free to ask any questions you have as I left commentary out of the video for your enjoyment :)

You are undoubtedly right! I do know that other rappers exist, but Parappa is the only rapper that I actually "like." The others sound much too grungy while Parappa's just straight up wholesome.

Unfortunately it was only a super limited time that it was open, so you would have missed it either way, so don't feel too bad bud! Hopefully one day they bring it back!

I'll travel to Japan in July, so I'll unfortunately not get to experience this... But it looks really, really cool. Fun how they "recycled" the PJ Berry Donut Toss balloon from the anniversary event xD I assume most of the merchandise was carried from over there as well. The name sticker machine was impressive as well, even looks like they got some new Parappa art on there! By the way, what's those green books on the left side of the comics?

It's incredible how much Parappa merch exists to this day in Japan despite being an inert video game franchise and being originally designed to cater to western audiences. The only media we had of the series in the past decade decade was the PS All Stars appereance and a remaster of the first game using emulation.

I'm curious why it's exclusively Parappa 1 themed. No Lammy or even Parappa 2 stuff. The only thing not from Parappa 1 that I saw was one of Katy's designs from Um Jammer Lammy.
