Trivia time, if anyone's looking to know where the indication regarding the "Full Moon Gate" is located... It's pretty tricky. See the house where you fight No. 9 the second time in Dryfield ? Good. Go there (at night obviously) and look at the moon via one of the windows there -you can do only do it ONCE. EDIT : Aya says [It's translated from French, don't take this as the exact phrasing] "It's the Full Moon. A friend once said there is a Full Moon Celebration in Japan called "The 15th Moon". But for me, it's more of a bad omen." This clue here is the ONLY time you'll have anything moon-related in the game. And you can't read it twice either, so you'd better not be mashing buttons. I usually did the puzzle like Past-Carci did, since I didn't even knew this clue existed in the first place. And a few years later, when I really paid attention to every detail -and searched every nook and cranny for clues, items and random texts, it came to my face like a brick. Question is : why hide it there, why is it readable only once and most importantly, HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO FIND THIS ? Thanks to you I finally discovered why the security cameras were on when I played.I putted them off but I see that you have to put them off again because they auto goes on when the golems are released.I was going nuts in my playthroughs,so annoying facing golems in small areas with turrets ON,I was just dumb to don't think to disable them again.Thank you for all the strategy Carci,It could help me to do better and faster playthroughs to reach that goddamnit S rank,I'm just on E rank now after 3 Playthroughs. So after watching the first part of your run I decided to have a go at it too (except, since I'm not particularly good nor have the patience for it without the no damage part) and I was surprised by how easy Parasite Eve 2 actually is if you know what you are doing (like where to go and how to prepare for the upcoming fights) and just abuse the OP PEs like combustion or energy shot, but I was still curious as to how you were going to defeat the last two bosses without taking damage. Didn't expect them to go down like this, that was something else. I find bounty mode to be more fun than normal mode though, at least you get more free guns to play with.

Thank-you for your effort in uploading this. Though I must admit that I kind want to see you just using some of the game rewards (hyper-cannon or gunblade, etc) to just go through the game and just have a good time feeling even more boss than you already do. Like with some of your Resi runs - I kind of want to see you use an infinite machine gun or something just to relax and have fun XD Anyway, thanks again!

I'll just edit as I watch this. 6:35 There's no bonus, one only ends up using more resources that way. 12:50 One of the hardest encounter to do on max BP runs, I also have to comment on how carci got a 100% crit rate; paralysis doubles the amount of crits taken by enemies, when combined with any level of energy shot and a high crit weapon, 100% crits are achieved so long the enemy isn't resistant or immune to them. 18:10 no flash light? It stuns them for a good while. Walking and shooting with a silenced weapon also enables Aya to take them out one by one, just attach ammo and reload from the inventory after every kill. 24:05 Machine gun turrets are the worst without a clear path to run. 28:15 I do want some of it all the time in my inventory. Buckshots are able to hit-multiple enemies, can soft/hard stun another good number over other ammo types, can one hit kill a few and is an absolute godsend against the scarabs later. It makes Scavenger that much easier with the SP12. 36:59 Could have used some MP recovery then take the cola in the cabinets on the way out. 46:20 It always tries to suck Aya in before moving forward once it's health hits the 'moving forward' point. One gets extra EXP and items if one kills it manually anyways. 50:00 Three things, Energy shot, PO8 with hydra and plasma if they get to close. Plasma can one shot the Sucklercephs. 1:01:30 Interesting shopping list. I though you would buy the AS12. 1:30:15 yeah, only their claws have a hitbox, the arm will go right through Aya without dealing damage. carci could have walked close then Combustion for a less risky strat since fatties don't have that good of an eyesight out of combat. 1:34:00 Just to note, stingers are naturally resistant to fire but the pyke has such a high DPS that it doesn't matter. Also, carci got a little lucky. stinger have a very rarely used physical attack. 2:00:05 I'll have to see if that strat works with apobiosis in Scavenger... It is one of those hard battles. 2:28:20 You know? it is really satisfying to see that, beetles have always given me problems when I fail to execute a battle properly, given their numbers, they can and will stun lock Aya. 2:35:45 That's more alike to the higher difficulty levels. I don't know if grenades can knock them back since some stuns are damage related. And I'm sure a pyro 3 + grenade doesn't deal enough damage. But, simply dodging clockwise it's the most resource friendly way of defeating them. 3:03:20 Y'know, this cutscene is show multiple times in the video. I don't thing anyone would mind you skipping the repeats. Not a big deal in the end but it crossed my mind... 3:15:45 There's actually three speakers, one is behind the fatty. Downing the fatty with 2 plasma casts are almost a must to destroy it. 3:27:45 The actual order to do this fast is: protein capsule (optional), check the test tube, talk to eve, walk (not run) towards the elevator and make sure to go through the dialog as fast as possible since the gas still fills the room while going through it. Its a bit tight but is is guaranteed. 3:49:45 Once more, a perfect example of how to do a tricky room. 3:53:15 I would have bought it earlier but it all worked without it, now to see how Carci melts Golem encounters. 4:02:25 They don't, a downed Golems are only an annoyance given the targeting system but they might as well be dead. Hehe, carci also spams inferno like I do Apobiosis with the ofuda, like candy in a candy store. I just mop the enemies with the P229 since they become a lot more vulnerable to crits when paralyzed.

The Javelin glitch has got to be the most Hilarious thing ever to pull off on a golem. Nah man, they didn't melt. They boogied so hard they got down. The jittering was priceless to watch, good show man, Parasite eve 2 is still a great game to play to this day.

Next the playthrough in nightmare mode. Still remember last time playing nightmare mode is really satisfying

It's good to see an optimized run of this game, definitely an underrated gem. Tried doing a melee only run but think it might be impossible - even with earth buff on the garbage boss takes way too little damage.

With the length, I watched it in bursts. I think you do need to save Pierce because you need his help in the facility to get the good end.

You know aside from the technical aspects of this run really making me see fire as the actual best element for Normal for sure, I think Aya could make buck becoming a professional exterminator. Especially with abilities like Inferno. I could easily see the ad "You got a roach problem? I say Fuck 'em!'

I think a starting pistol only run would be a serious challenge since magic can give such a major carry, taking damage would be ok since it would already be tough. Thoughts?

Considering a can of soda restores 20 HP & 80 MP in Parasite Eve 2; it always disappointed me that one of the cheat items you could unlock to purchase from completing the extra modes wasn't a twelve pack of Coca-Cola. That would have been hilarious and perfectly in-line with the product placement from this game.

Hey Carcinogen, do you have any interest in The 3rd Birthday? I know a lot of PE players have issues with it, but I love that game to death. It's grimy and barren and totally unforgiving and simple and beautiful. I just find the aesthetics of it deeply compelling; it chills me down to my spinal cord. I pretty much never play horror games but I keep finding myself drawn to it. (Sorry if this question is answered in the video! I'm avoiding PE2 spoilers.)
