you know, i THOUGHT that's was what it did, until i gotta UWORLD question (ID: 638) in where they gave patients Recombinant parathyroid hormone analog (eg, teriparatide) & they eliminated essentially choices that eluded to "osteoclastic activity" !! Cuz (explanation) : parathyroid hormone / Recombinant parathyroid hormone analog → promotes bone formation → maturates pre-osteoblasts into osteoblasts ; Essentially stating that it's a measure of osteoblastic activity (only), NOT osteoclastic activity ... which made go WTF ? really ? & yes, i get that the PTH receptor is on the blasts, which then activate the clasts ... feel free share any thoughts

Hello Everybody,, i recently have my blood tests done i which vitamin D came as only 4 ng/ml (severe deficiency) but calcium came as 10.40 units (normal range is upto 10.10)... is this can be because of hyperparathyroidism or due to low vit D ?
