2004 = the final season that ESPN legitly cared about baseball In 2005, ESPN looked like they cared about baseball with all the games they showed, but thats the season that they started to realize that MLB was never gonna be the same again after 2004. And then in 2006, ESPN no longer showed baseball games on holidays, and 2006 was also the final season that ESPN showed Division Series games, with MLB deciding to show many of their games on TBS starting in 2007.

@@daxxyboy3686 To be honest, as of the 2023, nobody cares about sports anymore, at least not about any regular season games across the NBA-NFL-MLB. Seems like only gamblers have an interest in the regular season Sometimes I look at these insane contracts that players across all 3 sports are getting, and im wondering "how in the world do players keep getting these insane contracts when it feels like each league is losing money each season, especially post-pandemic?

Clearly Redsox's became just like the Yankees like I knew this would happen eventually the redsox's they built up thetre team slowly got all the players and pitchers they needed to become the team they became winning ball games leading and coming from behind to win games with good pitching and good hitting to win games smashing home runs almost at to win ball games like the Yankee's were doing from the mid 90s till 2004 and for the redsox's they're reign lasted from 2004 till 2013

I have always said it is harder to stop a comeback than it is to make a comeback. What I mean by that is once the wheels get moving in that direction the team ahead now has everything to lose and gets tight while the team coming back is loose and confident.

Wilbon saying Basketball & Baseball were the Top 2 sports in America in 2004 is crazy…NFL was #1 then MLB was #2 and NBA was #3
@hmhm856
@hmhm856 Жыл бұрын
Im not gonna dissect and compare with NFL, but MLB (mainly because of its 2003-2004 season and postseason) and NBA (mainly because of its 2004 season and postseason), were both HUGE in 2003-2004. LOTS OF SPICY STORIES those seasons from MLB and NBA. I guess the 2003 NFL season, which is what Wilbon was comparing it too (year Pats beat Panthers), was an ok season and forgettable. I can see why Wilbon would make that statement.
