The Joolz Geo3 is a really interesting pram because it somehow manages to be a full sized, robust, big beast of a single pram and then converts to a very compact double pram.
I feel like I need to review the Joolz Geo3 Mono almost as a completely separate pram to the Joolz Geo3 Duo because it really does seem to have a complete identity shift when you add a second seat.
Firstly - what you get out of the box with the Joolz Geo3 Mono is a bassinet base, a seat base, one canopy and one bumper bar. So you’ll pop the bumper and canopy on the bassinet and then when bub outgrows it you’ll take them off and reassemble them onto the seat.
Starting with the bassinet - it’s a lovely full sized bassinet with heaps of ventilation. It’s plush and padded. It does have feet on the bottom so it can be placed on the floor if you’re needing somewhere to pop the baby when you're out, but it doesn’t have a proper carry handle.
Switching over to the Geo3 seat - one handed recline, same extra-large ventilated canopy, and ventilation through the seat when you remove the seat liner. So definitely a great pram for Australia, because it’s perfect for summer and warmer climates.
Removable liner is also great for keeping clean. Lots of people buy seat liners, and they never quite fit and sit right, so having this as an included feature is fantastic.
Also the Joolz Geo3comes with the swivelling leatherette bumper bar - which matches the telescopic handlebar.
Love the 5 point independent buckles, this is something we’re seeing on more and more prams, and it’s so good for squirmy toddlers.
The Joolz Geo3 has an adjustable footrest that nearly destroyed my soul making my previous video where I was going through double configurations because I couldn’t work out how to click the footrest in. It’s actually a really clever mechanism - very clean with no buttons - it’s just lift up to engage and then lift all the way to release.
Huge basket with a 15kg weight capacity, which is absolutely enormous. But it also means you can comfortably fill the basket with groceries - because the weight can add up quickly when you’re buying things like milk, fruit and pantry staples.
Good wheels, moves smoothly, it’s going to handle pretty much any terrain you’re going to want to take a baby on.
This is definitely my kind of pram. I like a big pram, with no compromising on features, I want big wheels, big suspension, big basket, big seat, big canopy, big everything - and I’m comfortable with the fact that it's a pretty big, heavy pram.
