Man this guy was badass and had class! He didn't need to shout or be rude to his dad in return, he just dropped the pen turned his back and walked out silently at them. And when his gf forgave his parents he forgave them too.

NO especially when they are WRONG; the son is a grow man and can make his own decisions. I understand parents want the best for their children but, they cannot NOT control or threaten their children into submitting to their choice! All the actors where GREAT and everyone owned their parts. Their was so much emotion in their acting, I felt it. BRAVO to the son that stood his ground and did not bow to his parents misguided thinking. The ending was soooooooooooo BEAUTIFUL and touching!

This was actually a little hard to watch. The parents were so disgusting to me,....and yet, I realize that that are many people who are just like them, in all walks of life (and people that would behave even worse).. I am glad that the young man stood up for himself and for his future family. I am also glad that the parents apologized (although there is a little voice in my head that is saying "keep an eye on them"). I am most pleased that they tried to shield the boy from hearing what was being said....although, children often are aware of what is going on, even if they don't say anything. This was a touching piece.

I really don't get this, she is a doctor, a pediatric cardiac specialist, she's not a waitress or a housekeeper. She is a Specialist, she would make good money, probably more than the dad and the boyfriend and no hospital is going to fire a specialist because some rich woman wants her gone. Doctors are too hard to find nowadays. I don't understand how they don't think that a doctor isn't good enough for their son, any parent would be thrilled that their child is with a doctor? This hit rather close to home. My mother tried to get rid of my girlfriend. I was seriously ill at the time and tried to ship her back to the USA. My Dad realised that I loved her, and stopped my mother. My girlfriend became my wife. My Dad later referred to my wife as “gold dust”. He thought a lot of her. After my Dad passed away, my mother tried again to separate my wife and I. Eventually she made an ultimatum to choose between them. This was back in 2004. I left with my wife, and have not seen my mother since.

When I was 13 my father (not real father but raised me) told me this "Son if your ever get a GF with a child never EVER reject the precious creature! It takes a real men to raise another men's child. Any idiot can be a father but mother is ONLY ONE." I always reminisce on his advice and I became a step dad two times. I gave them booth love. Because my father never excluded me but added me to his family tree. And I'll do it again if I find a girl with a child. Also a men can love his gf for a couple of months his wife a couple of years but his mother FOREVER!!!
