If a father had two sons, the Messenger of Allah descended from the one that had the prophethood." The following is stated in a hadith: "You descend from the best men of each century." [Bukhari] "Allah chose Kinana among the sons of Ismael, the Quraysh among the sons of Kinana and sons of Hashim among the Quraysh. And He chose me among them." [Muslim] "I descend from the best people. My ancestors are the best people." [Tirmidhi] "Allah chose me among the distinguished people of Arabia. I descend from the best people." [Tabarani] "None of my grandparents committed fornication. I descend from the best fathers and clean mothers. If one of my grandfathers had two sons, I descended from the better one." [Mawahib] "All of my ancestors beginning from Hazrat Adam were married couples. I am the best of you in terms of ancestors." [Daylami] "I am the most honorable person among people. Muslim (203) narrated from Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) that a man said: “O Messenger of Allaah, where is my father?” He said: “In Hell.” When he turned away he called him back and said: “My father and your father are in Hell.” Muslim (976) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I asked my Lord for permission to pray for forgiveness for my mother, but He did not give me permission. And I asked Him for permission to visit her grave, and He gave me permission.” It says in ‘Awn al-Ma’bood: “But He did not give me permission” means: because she was a kaafirah (disbeliever) and it is not permissible to pray for forgiveness for the kuffaar. Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: This shows that it is not permitted to pray for forgiveness for the kuffaar.

I just don't know why people even get into this. It's self harm, why would anyone dare to speak on the parents of Salallahu `alaihi wa sallam. It's to be a greater enemy of one's self than any kaafir. No matter what they suspected due to what they've read, why would they even dare to speak about it? And Allah (swt) will give him (saw) until he is satisfied, end of discussion. Stop the self harm.

Jazak Allahu khairan katheera...may allah elevate you my dear shaykh hamza yusuf...i have bitterly wept for Rasool Allah's (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam )parents and prayed Allah threw me in hell instead of his parents i.e after i heard some shaikh say that on some video over here on youtube...and he said it so callously, wallahi my heart was shreded. Why would have Allah blessed her womb with such an honor if hell was her destination? Astagfirullah. I was so disturbed... thanx for this video.

I have always had a problem with the Hadith that says the prophets parents are in hell. My fitra just could not take it. But I had no enough knowledge to refute it with proofs. With this I am very satisfied beyond reasonable doubt's that the prophets parents are free from hell. My Allah reward you abundantly ya sheikh. And increase you in knowledge. Amen.

The mushriks of Makkah used to impose shirk and sin on Allah. (6:148) "Now the mushriks will say: If Allah had willed, we would not have committed shirk, nor would our fathers and grandfathers have committed shirk, nor would we have forbidden any (halal) thing. Thus lied their predecessors, until they tasted My punishment. (O Prophet!) Say to them: Do you have any evidence that you can show us? You only follow conjectures and you speak only conjectures." Surah Al-An'am: 148. Here the disbelievers used to claim while committing shirk, we are committing shirk by Allah's will. Allah declared them to be liars and said that their predecessors were also punished for imputing such lies to Allah.

13:32 (Muhammad), people have mocked the Messengers who lived before you. I gave a respite to the unbelievers (so that they would repent, but they did not). Then I struck them with a terrible retribution 13:33 (Can anyone be considered equal to) the One who is the Guardian of every soul and the Watcher of what it has gained? Yet, the unbelievers have considered their idols equal to God. Say, "Name the attributes of your idols. Are you trying to tell God about something that does not exist on the earth? Do you only mention empty names? Evil plans have attracted the unbelievers and have misled them from the right path. No one can guide those whom God has caused to go astray 13:34 The unbelievers will face torment in this world and their punishment in the life hereafter will be even greater. No one can save them from the wrath of God Here Almighty ALLAH replied to those pagans of arab: 53:23 these (lat, manat, ujja) are nothing but names you have invented yourselves, you and your forefathers. GOD has sent no authority for them. These people merely follow guesswork and the whims of their souls, even though guidance has come to them from their Lord 53:24 Is man to have everything he wishes for 53:25 when the present life and the life to come belong only to GOD 53:26 There are many angels in heaven whose intercession will be of no use until GOD gives permission to those He will, whose words He will accept 53:27 Those who deny the life to come give the angels female names 53:28 They have no knowledge to base this on: they merely follow guesswork. Guesswork is of no value against the Truth 53:29 So [Prophet] ignore those who turn away from Our revelation, who want only the life of this world

BECAUSE ALLAH'S MESSENGER (PEACE BE UPON HIM) IS IN ITS STOMACH. then after 40 days when Yunus Alaihim as salaam came out of that Fish then Allah subhanahu wata Ala speaks to that Fish & Said O Fish you have been carrying my prophet for 40 days in your stomach with protection Say me what do you want ? The Fish replied O Allah ! I want to swim in the NEHER of KAUSAR OF YOUR BELOVED PROPHET MUHAMMAD SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WA SALLAM & I WANT TO PLAY WITH JANNATIS (THE PEOPLE OF HEAVEN). & according to the Narration of RasoolAllah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Only that Fish will go in jannah . & Allah accepts it's wish. With all due respect, he uses references which are irrelevant all together to support his desire. Rasool(SA) said " No doubt I am the Prophet of Allah and I am the son of Abdul Muttalib". Now question is in what context he said this and can this be used as evidence of Prophet (SA) grand father Abdul Muttalib was a believer or Mushrik? This incident happened during the war between Muslims and people of Taiff and some Baduain traibe. Muslim army at the beginning of the war was not very organised and some even started running around hopelessly and very disoriented. Those days Arab were very proud of their tribal belonging and Abdul Muttalib was influential figure in his time. Rasool (SA) knew the key to the heart and mind of Quraishi, so he loudly address the Quraishi o Mocca that he is the Prophet of Allah and at the same time used fame of his Grand father Abdul Muttalib. This is a act of Heqma which immediately worked and people who were disorganised all of a sudden started following Rasool(SA) command and regrouped and attacked back the enemy. How above incident can be used to confirm his Grand dad was a monotheist or a true believer of Allah? While from the sira of Rasool(AS) we know the incident where his Grand dad promised to Allah, if Allah give him 10 son, then he will sacrifice one of them for the shake of the lord of the Kaba. To choose which son to sacrifice he used ARROW lottery. And we know that using ARROW to determine your future is SHIRK. Sufis will use anything to satisfy their desire.

Question Where are the parents of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)? Are they in Paradise or in Hell? We hope you can tell us of a hadeeth which proves the answer?. Answer Praise be to Allaah. There is a hadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) which indicates that they are in Hell. Muslim (203) narrated from Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) that a man said: “O Messenger of Allaah, where is my father?” He said: “In Hell.” When he turned away he called him back and said: “My father and your father are in Hell.” Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: This shows that whoever dies in a state of kufr will be in Hell. And being related to one who is close to Allaah will not avail him anything. It also shows that whoever died during the fatrah (the interval between the Prophethood of ‘Eesa (peace be upon him) and that of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)) and was the follower of the way of the Arabs at that time, which was idol worship, will also be among the people of Hell. There is no excuse for the call not reaching them, because the call of Ibraaheem and other Prophets (peace be upon them) had reached these people. Muslim (976) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I asked my Lord for permission to pray for forgiveness for my mother, but He did not give me permission. Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “My father and your father are in Hell,” he spoke with knowledge, for he did not speak on the basis of his whims and desires, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “By the star when it goes down (or vanishes). 2. Your companion (Muhammad) has neither gone astray nor has erred. 3. Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. 4. It is only a Revelation revealed” [al-Najm 53:1-4] Were it not that proof has been established against ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib, the father of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) would not have said what he did about him. Perhaps he had heard something that established proof against him on the basis of the religion of Ibraaheem, because they used to follow the religion of Ibraaheem until the innovations were introduced by ‘Amr ibn Luhayy al-Khuzaa’i and his innovations became widespread among the people, such as the propagation of idols and praying to them instead of to Allaah. Perhaps ‘Abd-Allaah had heard something that showed him that the idol worship of Quraysh was wrong, but he still followed them, and thus proof was established against him. Similarly, the hadeeth which says that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) asked for permission to pray for forgiveness for his mother but it was not granted, and he asked for permission to visit her grave and he was permitted to do so but not to pray for forgiveness for her, perhaps she had heard something that established proof against her, or perhaps the people of the Jaahiliyyah are to be treated as kuffaar as far as rulings in this world are concerned, so we should not pray for them or pray for forgiveness for them, because outwardly they seem to be kuffaar, and should be regarded and dealt with as such, and their case in the Hereafter is for Allaah to judge. Fataawa Noor ‘ala al-Darb Al-Suyooti (may Allaah have mercy on him) was of the view that the parents of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) will be saved (from Hell), and that Allaah brought them back to life after they had died and they believed in him. This view was rejected by the majority of scholars who ruled that the ahaadeeth which indicate that are fabricated (mawdoo’) or very weak (da’eef jiddan). It says in ‘Awn al-Ma’bood: Most of the reports that been narrated to the effect that the parents of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) were brought back to life and believed in him and were saved are fabricated and false. Some of them are very weak and cannot be saheeh under any circumstances, as the imams of hadeeth are unanimously agreed that they are fabricated, such as al-Daaraqutni, al-Jawzaqaani, Ibn Shaheen, al-Khateeb, Ibn ‘Asaakir, Ibn Naasir, Ibn al-Jawzi, al-Suhayli, al-Qurtubi, al-Muhibb, al-Tabari, Fath al-Deen ibn Sayyid al-Naas, Ibraaheem al-Halabi and others. The scholar Ibraaheem al-Halabi explained at length the fact that the parents of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) have not been saved from Hell in a separate essay, as did ‘Ali al-Qaari in Sharh al-Fiqh al-Akbar and in a separate essay. The basis for this opinion is the soundness of this hadeeth (“My father and your father are in Hell”). Shaykh Jalaal al-Deen al-Suyooti differed from the huffaaz and scholars and affirmed that they had believed and had been saved, and he wrote numerous essays on that topic, including al-Ta’zeem wa’l-Minnah fi anna Abaway Rasool-Illaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) fi’l-Jannah. Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked: Is there any saheeh report from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) that Allaah brought his parents back to life so that they could become Muslims, then they died (again) after that? He replied: There is no saheeh report to that effect from the scholars of hadeeth. Rather the scholars are agreed that this is an invented lie… There is no dispute among the scholars that this is one of the most obvious of fabrications, as was stated by those who have knowledge. That does not appear in any of the reliable books of hadeeth, either in the Saheehs or the Sunans or the Musnads or any other well-known books of hadeeth. It was not mentioned by the authors of the books of Maghaazi or Tafseer, even though they narrated da’eef (weak) reports along with saheeh (sound) ones. The fact that this is a lie is clear to any one who has any knowledge of religion. If such a thing had happened there would have been a great deal of motivation to transmit it, because it is something that is extraordinary on two counts: the raising of the dead and believing after death. Such a thing would have been more deserving of being transmitted than anything else. Since no trustworthy narrated transmitted it, it may be understood that this is a lie. Moreover, this goes against the Qur’aan and the saheeh Sunnah, and the consensus of the scholars. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Allaah accepts only the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and foolishness and repent soon afterwards; it is they whom Allaah will forgive and Allaah is Ever All‑Knower, All‑Wise. 18. And of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil deeds until death faces one of them and he says: ‘Now I repent;’ nor of those who die while they are disbelievers” [al-Nisa’ 4:17-18] So Allaah states that there is no repentance for one who dies as a disbeliever. And Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Then their Faith (in Islamic Monotheism) could not avail them when they saw Our punishment. (Like) this has been the way of Allaah in dealing with His slaves. And there the disbelievers lost utterly (when Our Torment covered them)” [Ghaafir 40:85] So He tells us that the way in which He deals with His slaves is that faith will be to no avail once they have seen the punishment, so how about after death? And there are other similar texts. Then he quoted the two hadeeth which we quoted at the beginning of our answer. Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 4/325-327. [Bukhari] "Allah chose Kinana among the sons of Ismael, the Quraysh among the sons of Kinana and sons of Hashim among the Quraysh. I am not saying it in order to boast." [Daylami]

Attention: In Sahih Muslim Hadith 203 the word used is Ab which means father or uncle. Arabs used to call their uncle Ab even in the time of prophet Ibrahim. Furthermore, for biological father they used the word walad not Ab, which confirms that prophet (PBUH) referenced his uncle in this hadith, not his biological father. See hadith in Arabic below: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيْنَ أَبِي قَالَ " فِي النَّارِ " . فَلَمَّا قَفَّى دَعَاهُ فَقَالَ " إِنَّ أَبِي وَأَبَاكَ فِي النَّارِ " Additionally, our beloved prophet (PBUH) mentioned that he is pure and his lineage is pure, which also confirms that his parents were pious and on the right path therefore not in hell. Regarding prophet's beloved mother, the reason Allah SWT did not allow our beloved prophet to seek forgiveness for her because she was already forgiven therefore no forgiveness was necessary. May Allah guide us to the right path and help us obtain correct information
