Parents protest Pride event at Los Angeles elementary school

The school district stands by its decision to approve the book with support from counter protesters. NBC News' Niala Charles reports.

Very good point. Reminds me of protests for peace yet they burn down major cities in the name of civil rights. And the greater public don't realize this or are scared to call a lemon a lemon. Elementary age kids don’t need to know “pride” from an adult’s perspective. They just need to know that everyone’s experience is different and acceptance of, and respect for each other is important.

Have kids. They’re a blessing. A lot of people say oh no I don’t want a bratty kid. But your kid will behave like you and the other parent. As long as you teach them and talk to them about what gets on your nerves then they won’t be bratty. Plus it’s your child so it’s different. Your body releases chemicals to make you love them more.
