PARGA Greece - Walk with us from Parga Town to Lichnos Beach - Stunning views of Parga & Lichnos

The town of Parga in Greece is the best Greek holiday destination we have visited to date. We enjoyed our holiday in Parga so much that we visited this idyllic Greek Town located in the Epirus region of northwestern Greece on three separate Summer Holidays in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Things that drew us back to Parga was Parga Town, the beautiful sandy and stone beaches, delicious Greek food and Greek restaurants and tavernas and lots of attractions to explore or visit not to mention all the nature trails and hiking routes. We travelled to Greece with the Danish Charter Company Apollo Rejser who specialize in holidays to Greece.
In this video we show you the hike we made from Parga Town over the mountain through Olive Tree plantations all the way to Lichnos Beach, one of Parga´s beautiful sandy beaches. The hike from Parga Town to Lichnos Beach is a long one and it can get very hot in the sun. Be sure to bring lots of water, appropriate hiking shoes, clothing and a hat and lots of sun tan cream. The views on this hike both over Parga Town and over Lichnos Beach are breathtaking. If you are fit, then we can highly recommend this walk / hike as a Parga holiday activity. Other beaches in and around Parga, Greece include Krioneri Beach, Spartila Beach, Sarakiniko Beach, Piso Krioneri Beach, Plakero, Agios Sostis Beach, Agios Giannakis Beach and Valtos Beach. Many of these beaches are also accessible by Boat Taxi leaving from the Parga Harbor.
Wiki writes about the town of Parga in Greece, "Parga (Greek: Πάργα [ˈpaɾɣa]) is a town and municipality located in the northwestern part of the regional unit of Preveza in Epirus, northwestern Greece. The seat of the municipality is the village Kanallaki. Parga lies on the Ionian coast between the cities of Preveza and Igoumenitsa. It is a resort town known for its natural environment.."

For some reason I missed this , we love walking also and don’t often take taxis on holiday unless we really have to , it’s a beautiful country and we’re heading there in June to Corfu with friends . I hope your both well. Ps washing it down with an ice cold beer is definitely a bit of us , I’m a dull drinker as I really only enjoy beer with the odd cocktail

Hi Kieron, lovely hearing from you and we are both well. Have actually both been ill with corona a week or two back which has put our schedule back a lot. We have not been to Korfu before but from what we can see in photos it looks very similar to Parga. You must make a day trip there (there are say trip boats). On a hot day the best thing is a cold beer and after such a long hike it tasted heavenly! Have a great weekend both of you 😊 Kind Greetings from Maxi and Maro :-D

Hi, thank you for sharing this, you made me want to try to walk there :D How long did it take after all? Do you think my 77 years old Mum could do it?She is healthy, but she is not used to hikes/long walks , especially not in hot weather. To be fair I am not used to it either :D

Hi there! Thanks for watching :-D This is a VERY LONG AND VERY HOT hike and we are not sure that it is for everybody. You have to make up your own mind if you can manage it or not, but if you are not used to hiking, as you mention, we would say don´t do it, rather take a taxi car or taxi boat. We are unsure as to how long it took as we were stopping to film throughout the hike. Have a good time in beautiful Parga.
