Travel presents us with problems, problems large and small. EG, OK, I missed my flight - how do I make this work now? Yeah, that can be a large one. It's just a new experience. You learn. You also learn how to forestall or evade problems. EG, you have a cruise beginning August 5. You do not want to book a flight arriving August 5 in case of flight cancellation, or a connecting flight arriving late and missing the flight to the cruise port and thus the cruise sailing. France, and we will spend 12 nights in Paris before the cruise. We have another cruise beginning in Prague, and we'll arrive there 2 days ahead, coming in from first touring the UK. In so far as this video of CDG, yes it can be intimidating the first few times. But, there are plenty of signage directing the passengers. Just be careful to read them and you're not just following the herd. The only airport where I had a problem in that area was Frankfurt. There's some 5 train stations in that airport and it is NOT well signed.

Let me add that you should never pass a Departure display without dbl checking your flight! You'd be suprised how often the status changes. that includes the time and especially the Gate.

It helps when you only have a backpack as your carry on

CDG 2 isn't a single terminal, it's a collection of multiple terminals that are connected to one another. What matters to know if the connection is short is the letter behind the "2".

Plz i have a question, i have a transit from CDG airport for abt 1h20, should i claim my baggage and registrate it again? Or it's gonna be transfered by them to my last destination??!

@@ik1460b Depends on how you bought the tickets, if both flight are on the same itienary, then your baggage will transfer on its own

Although the airport is huge and there will likely be lots of walking, Schengen to non-Schengen transfer is not difficult. Signs are well posted throughout the airport, just follow them and you'll end up at the right place.

Este video no es para esto. No se entiende nada. Y por muchos tutoriales que leas tampoco. Ellos mismos se dicen a sí mismos ISLA DE FRANCIA.. O sea que lo hacen todo engorroso, inentendible, con miles de tarjetas y tickets, y caros como el demonio. Si vas sola busca el rossybuss o algun bus de esto que si hay información en internet que te cuesta 12 euros o por ahí pero te deja en el centro de la ciudad, no en el hotel de turno. Si no, taxi, pero el taxi es perfecto cundo van 3 para dividir el costo. Pero si hay que gastar 60 euros en vez de perderse pues se gastan.. Yo buscaba más donde queda más lo del Navigo Semanal, y su oficina en que parte del aeropuerto con decenas de terminales está, pero lo dicho el 90% de videos son inentendibles por mucho video que haya. Hay una oficina en el aeropuerto ya será preguntar y preguntar y hacer km para dar con ella.

70 minutes is tight but if you are on a single ticket, they'll just rebook you to the next flight.

Global entry is only for the United States. If memories serves me correct, I do believe there is a separate line for business class and SkyTeam Elite members.

Took me just shy of an hour to get through. But I think SFO-CDG has no early morning arrivals so it can actually be quicker. The biggest bottle necks are the wait times for security and passport control.

I think they will be fine. The signs at CDG are clear and straight forward and you have given them enough of a buffer to transit. 3 hours is plenty for CDG.

Security is necessary again due to different security standards for different countries. It’s not necessary all the time depending on which airport you transit through.

The Yotel Air Lounge is also in Terminal 2E. Make sure to give yourself lots of time to reach your gate as there can be lots of walking involved!

With clear signs, it still takes sometimes a journey to get to the connecting flights gate. You could not usually do it on less than a 2hr lay over

Yes you’ll likely need to take the train to the other part of Terminal 2. 90 minutes is good.

Haven't personally done such a transfer but if the airline sold it to you, then it should be okay.

That depends on your final destination. If it is in the Schengen Area, then you'll have to go through Schengen immigration at CDG. If not, then you'll likely not have to.

No, that’s not really a busy time. The transatlantic morning rush will be over by then. You should be fine

@OnTimeReports I'm flying on Air France from ATL to CDG then from CDG to BHX. My layover is 2hrs 15mins and I get to the airport at 7:45am. Is this enough time to get my connection flight at 9:40am?

⁠@@nicholasnickhi! my flight was delayed and I only had 1 hour to transfer in the end but it went SUPER smooth for me! I had to get on a small train to get to my gate then went through security but if you know where your gate is the sign will guide you and it will all be fine😁 especially if your arriving at the same gate! I hope you have a good trip:) (I actually don’t remember how long it took but it was really quick🫢)

Hopefully your connection is on a single ticket. You’ll be protected if you miss your transfer and be rebooked onto the next flight
