LionTree Co-Head of Growth Alex Michael sits down with icon Paris Hilton and her husband Carter Reum in their first podcast interview together. Though she essentially created the personal brand industry, building it into a multi-pronged, billion-dollar business, Paris shows no signs of slowing down. Thirty fragrances, three books, 19 product lines, the Roblox Metaverse “Paris World” - there’s a LOT. The couple - Carter is an author and the founder of angel firm M13 Ventures - has a unique and organic approach to business, relying on instinct to make choices about who her 11:11 platform partners with. Paris shares everything from her biggest business regret to her ongoing work to introduce legislation to combat child abuse.

I find it so interesting Paris’s natural ability as an entrepreneur but she struggles to vocalize or take the time to internalize her natural strengths. Yet her husband has watched her, appreciates her abilities and can communicate it. They have such a good compatibility.

What an amazing partner he is for her. You can tell how she feels awkward and he keeps brushing over it and supporting her.

Isn't Carter just wonderful with her. I wish my daughter could meet someone like him. I think guys see my daughter as just a girl and they don't look deeper. You can see how he respects her position/is not intimidated by her. He also dives deep into her feelings which is awesome. He pays attention to the details. He also lets her be her girly girl self. Most guys do not have that "Centeredness" about who they are. Carter knows who he is and can talk intelligently.

@barbarayoung2846 True. She even wrote a letter to him pleading for a relationship with him. It's funny to see women in the comments gushing about a dorky, docile, absent father...while complaining that men are for the most part bad for not acting like this goof. No wonder I see a bunch of frustrated angry women in dating channels or being single mothers. They're terrible at choosing a partner and father for their kid(s). The fact that they blame dudes for their own choices suggests they'll keep making the same mistakes. 🤣

It takes a very secure man to support a woman who is so beautiful, successful and popular; good job Carter! There is something in the corner of the room behind the interviewer; I've been trying to figure out what it is; looks like a popcorn popper?!

I came across this from low expectation to being jolted into a new stratosphere by the multifaceted genius of these two, both individually and collectively. Great listening to a podcaster asking interesting questions which open us up to who they really are and what motivations them. Awesome listening ❤

Such an interesting interview. I loved the topics that they spoke about and loved seeing some more authentic sides of Paris, especially when she talks of her businesses or of her activism. And I was impressed by the professional yet captivating approach of the interviewer. Time well spent.

I think the difference between his previous relationship is that Carter is mature and he is a business man already and very knowledgeable of the world. And he has great communication skills. Also looked very respectful and considered.

I love Paris. I love Carter for Paris. My inner historian and Old Hollywood fan rolls eyes at some of the claims (which are unnecessary considering all of her actual firsts), but self-promotion has proven itself to be an excellent business model for Paris. Carry on, Queen!

I think it is difficult for Paris too look “from the outside in” on her own trendspotting ability. It feels natural to her because it is. It doesn’t seem intentional all the time, it seems more like she goes into things she is genuinely fascinated by. I think her charisma sells it, and it is hard for the possessor of charisma to explain why people gravitate to them. They aren’t able to perceive their own “je ne sais quoi”, if you will.
