I instantly knew it was going to be Lisa Eldridge's Velvet Ribbon! It's so easily distinguishable from any other reds out there, probably because of the special texture and the blue undertone. I think it's one of the best red lipsticks.

I came to the comments to say the same thing. Somehow I instantly knew. There are few lipsticsk I can tel the shade and make just by looking at it, but there's nothing else out there like that one. She looks divine wearing it!

This is a great look and I have been trying to find a makeup application to replace full makeup now that I am retired. I was afraid to wear red lipstick as an older woman but to my surprise, it looks great and with my less hectic and demanding lifestyle I feel really comfortable with this look. Thank you! I had limited time to prepare for a party, and played this while doing my makeup- keeping the eyes and skin super simple and taking time for the red lip worked well and looked good with my red hat. I used Lisa Eldridge's velvet ribbon in the liquid lip formula and was able to eat/drink and not worry about it at all.❤ I do think i should have added bronzer, but the overall look worked.

Beautiful makeup! Thank you for the tips ♥️ 1. use lip balm to clear dead skin. 2. tone down the rest of your makeup - to do it easier do your lips first. 3. pick the right shade that goes with your undertone. for neutrals, go for blue-red. 4. Use lip liner, slightly over draw. Lip liners help the lipstick not to migrate & last longer 5. Lisa Eldridge Velvet ribbon / Armani no.400 -matt finish, coolest / Byredo satin finish, semi matt /Cle de peau - warmest / Dior 999 6. Start with the middle of your lips. Use flat brush. Apply little bit of concealer to edge lips

It took me so long to find my perfect red shade (most reds pull either berry toned or orange on me instead of actually looking red) and my skin can be quite sensitive to certain fragrances. I finally found my absolutely perfect red lipstick and they discontinued it a few months later, I was able to get 1 more tube before they were completely gone but man will I be sad when I finally run out.
