Parker 66R Geofatboy’s Everyday Shave #25

Geofatboy performs a shave with the Parker 66R Butterfly or Twist-To-Open Safety Razor. A few requests have been made for this razor. Razor construction is genuine brass with polished chrome plating. The razor is loaded up with an Astra blade. Proraso Menthol and Eucalyptus shaving cream, and aftershave balm are used. These are preceded by the Shave Nation Wide Stick Alum Block. The Trafalgar T3 Sovereign Synthetic brush is used to generate lather in the Shave Nation Ceramic Shaving Bowl. Geo, Many thanks for your very helpful videos. As an older person I thought I knew about shaving but persistent skin irritation from both electric and replacement blade shavers made me finally look around . Your channel has got me hooked onto DE wet shaving and Ive had no skin problems. Thank you again.

Thanks for noticing and commenting about it. I also find myself increasing the volume when I have my headphones on! I think it's the little drone effects I added in that take it up a notch.

I have this exact razor. great shave with a rarity of nicking. needs three full passes to get that baby but smooth shave. the only issue I ever had with it is if the head gets loose the blade can move. check the tightness every time. also I found it a little to aggressive for the mustache on the rare occasion I shave it off.

Yes that's something you have to be diligent about as blade chattering that a twist to open butterfly razor can potentially have is scary and never fun.

Sharp' shave Geo🪒🪒 No matter how many fancy soaps and splashes you acquire, Proraso goodness is there when needed and always a good choice. Nice looking razor, the only Parker I have is the Variant but it's a good one. Great video, thanks. Enjoy!

Hi, Geo. Here's a question I have that's purely out of curiosity - Does all of your facial hair actually grow downward so that your with the grain pass is cheekbone to neck, across grain pass ear to nose, and the against grain pass being neck to cheekbone, or do you do that for the sake of simplicity? For me, my hair grows downward on my cheeks, upper lip, chin, and the center of my neck. However, my sideburns grow pointing away from my face, and the rest of the hair on my neck grows away from the Adam's apple.

The neck hairs grow willy nilly. I do it this way as a quick demonstration. Hopefully shavers will feel around and go against the grain on their own face accordingly. I give a basic example which should be tailored to meet your own needs.
