A video that includes entering the restaurant and seeing/grabbing the menu is so helpful for people like me who get very anxious about new places. I've walked out of or failed to enter places because I wasn't 100% sure if I was using the correct door or standing in the right spot and then just freaked out and escaped. Thanks for doing this - it really helps!

Great video. Always love food vids. I like to jump on the trolley and go to Jack in the Box for a cheap option. The one off Little Italy trolley stop.

the good thing about that subway is that they've got an organized system for comic con and you are in and out of there very quickly.

While it's on the opposite side of the downtown area, the area near San Diego City College is no more than 20 blocks away and offers a Subway sandwich shop right there at the trolley station with better options than the location on 6th, Jack in the Box across the street, Del Taco and Burger King a little further up the street and a McDonald's. There is Istanbul Döner Kebab at 6th and Broadway. Park and Market offers an excellent hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant, La Azteca. Ralph's on 1st and G Street has a deli with an array of options to have a sandwich made to your preferences.

Cine Cafe is an excellent choice. If you don't mind walking a bit further towards Market St on 4th, I highly recommend Taqueria Los Chuchys for pretty quick and delicious Mexican food.

One thing I'd always advise is aside from Baja Ricks is avoid the resturants in the first few blocks of 5th. People cross the street, pick one of the first places they see and expect the hour wait time they are given is going to be everywhere. It absolutely isn't even on Saturday. There are plenty of bars/resturants right behind Petco like Bubs, Social Tap and Half Door Brewery where you will probobly just walk right in and be seated at the bar. There are also places along 10th outside the right field gate of Petco that nobody but locals and con vets seem to know are there.

Very good point! We normally include something similar to that in our “outside” guide, but should’ve also mentioned here. Thank you!!!

It's my friends Second First SDCC, and I'd love to find her one with themed menus.

MaryJanes at the Hard Rock is one possibility, but usually we don’t know which place has those until preview night. We will post on X/Twitter and IG if we find some

@@ParksAndCons there are a lot of staple SDCC spots I did not go to for my friends First SDCC that we missed just cause it was her first and we were on A Street, so her First Second one, especially since we're at the Marina, we have a lot more mobility. MJs hs also fallen by the wayside since SyFy stopped theming it.

We are stay on Coronado? Any great options there? And advise on getting to Comic Con from there? The Ferry?
@ParksAndConsАй бұрын
Unfortunately, we have no familiarity with that area. Sorry!
@chofiies20 күн бұрын
for food eats i would say it will be kinda on the expensive side, cuz Coronado is an affluent neighborhood, i would suggest buying snacks from the grocery store. And for transportation to getting to the convention center, i would suggest taking the 901 towards 12th&imperial its only a quick 5-8 min walk to the convention
