I highly recommend reading the instruction manual, in particular the safety instructions regarding how to correctly use this saw.

This is a perfect video on how to NOT use a circular saw.. It wouldn't surprise me if the burnt out in one week. Even though you have the guide fitted I can still see the blade running away from your straight line meaning the blade is binding.
