Couldn't be without my stubby gun 😜.....took me a lot of research but its still not leaking to this day. Parkside pressure wash is great even after 4 years of weekly use

Exactly the same ,bought a stubby gun off Amazon with the Nilfisk fitting only to find it didn't fit because of those flat sides.I did think of drilling those sides out but just did a return and am now awaiting another gun from elsewhere.Handy to know that there is a solution tho 👍

The aliexpress option E was a tighter fit to begin with but over time it loosened up.

Very good video pal. And informative. Really pleased with my new pressure washer but like yourself was pissed at discovering I couldn’t get a connection for a shorter gun. If you don’t mind me asking how far down are you drilling into the connector with the 12mm and the same for the 9mm. I’m guessing the masonry bits head is acting like a borer to just file out .5 of a mm to give an easier fit? Thanks

Thank you for the positive response 😀 its was all trial and error. Yes ot was more of a file rather than drilling a hole. Think I went all the way through with the 12mm, then had to open up the inner section enough to slide both O rings in, probably around 5-7mm...can't remember off hand

@@whatsdavedone104 Thanks pal, did it last night and it literally took 5mins by way of a hand drill. Getting the 12mm started in the plastic was probably the most difficult even when using a brand new HSS drill bit. My stubby gun arrived with a similar Kärcher quick release but was fortunate enough that the yellow insert did not need to be bored out at all. Little bit of PTFE on the threads of the stubby and it’s all working perfectly. Highly recommend the quick release lance too (the straight lance with an extra 30’ add on section) for car washing. Makes life so much easier. All being said I’d have been stuck without your video so kudos. Thanks again 👍

Thanks for the video. I'm in the same boat as you with the parkside. The pressure washer is actually really nice but I want a short gun. Can you just order 1/2 parts from aliexpress? Or is it bulk only? How long does it normally take?

No, it should just push and clip straight onto the pressure washer hose

@@whatsdavedone104 what I mean is , when you remove the hose from the end of the gun, you are left with a hole insert to push the hose into. Is there an adaptor with the same end fitting as the hose but with an M22 fitting on the other side so I can then use a different gun?

I already bought an additional quick release attachment for the end of the lance which fits. It doesn't however seal correctly like the stock lance you get and therefore leaks like crazy

How old is the pressure washer? I think it comes with a 3 year warranty on parts....contact parkside. Or find a hydraulic hose specialist and they will be able to make you one up with the old fittings

So basically the nilfisk adapter only needs the center yellow bit drilled with 9mm as the black bit is already round as the karcher one has flat sides. Is that correct?

The Nilfisk also needs the black bit drilling like the karcher to fit the hose in.

@@whatsdavedone104 and its been ok since you done it 9 month ago? the lance i have comes with a nilfisk adapter, i assume it can be reamed out like the nilfisk and the distance from collar to end of fitting (11mm vs 20mm) doesnt matter?
