Parnis 'Daytona' review. Almost perfect?

Күн бұрынHello! Today I welcome you to my world of watches, and in this video we are taking a look what I believe is an 'almost perfect' chronograph. A lot of value to be found in this Parnis Daytona in my opinion. I have to say, it was pretty hard filming this watch, FINGERPRINTS EVERYWHERE! There is no "official" parnis store. This has already been quite researched in the watch community.

Bought the Pagani version but the bezel was MISALIGNED. Returned it. Thanks for the video!

Can happen with any watch ,had it on $300 Seiko doesnt mean replacement would ve been too but your choice

Thanks for sharing. Parnis produce good quality watch. NH35 is also reliable. It is better to have reliable homeage watch than fake rolex. We have some watches modded/customized using pagani, proxima, san martin, parnis, lagarz as base watch with seiko parts.

I've heard of Parnis but never owned one. For what is worth, I did purchase the Pagani Design version of the Daytona (PD-1644), It's beautiful and with great reviews. Consider checking it out.

Well they are quite similar in terms of design, what I really like about the Pagani Design Daytona is that it has 100m of water resistance, makes it more versatile. I would love to compare the two!

Hi , great review, I wear mine with the bracelet the other way round so the bulky bit is on the 12 ‘o’ clock side, it sits much more comfortably like this and you don’t notice the bulky part so much 👍🇬🇧

WatchesChecked . Hi I use the one it came with, that said I’ve got a black leather strap and a white silicon elite strap by Barton watchbands which looks fantastic. Cheers

Not all Parnis watches have the silver rings around the sub dials, not sure about the ones from the "official" Parnis store but most don't have them now in comparison to when the watch first came out when most had them, I think the watch looks better with them so I make a point of messaging the seller first to ensure the watch has them.

Didn't know about these things until now..I should try it, been wearing it for more than a month now, has some scratches..They are cheap too! Thanks for the suggestion!

@@WatchesChecked Yeah the scotch brite pad works, I used it on my Invicta pro diver to remove the polished areas on the links. Looks so much better.

So this means, if I understand this correctly, this watch will never run longer than 60 minutes. You always have to push the button so it starts again? Meaning that for the daily use this watch is not really interesting, right? Can anyone confirm this?

Well technically, yes, it goes beyond 60 minutes, but there is no hour indicator, so you would have to count the hours by yourself. And speaking in terms of daily use it is more of a dress watch, not a tool watch, so if you need the chronograph then do not buy it, if you need something that looks very good on the wrist, then take it!

@@WatchesChecked Hey, thanks for your reply. My new Seiko Chrono with a VK64 hybrid quartz movement always stops running 60 minutes after I pressed the upper button. Does this mean the battery is empty? Hm...

@@WatchesChecked Thanks for the information. I really didn't do any research and thought my Seiko was broken. Now I know better. Unfortunately I need a watch for watch purposes so a Chrono doesn't make much sense for me. :)

I have 3 of these and a gmt. I buy all mine from Ali express, the one that I did buy direct from Parnis was absolutely crap. The service was non existent and I had to get my money back from PayPal. I’ve posted this before, do not believe the crap on the Parnis website.

I’ve got 5 Parnis watches including the EVIL panda Daytona. A fantastic watch as are the others. Recently I bought the Pagani Daytona Sport white face & it’s identical to the Parnis. They’re accurate, everything lines up, & great value for the price. I am not overly impressed either by the watch band but I’m not that fussy either. Like you I don’t have a lazy $20,000+ budget, so I’m more than happy to wear good homage’s such as this! Good review again👍🏼

Parnis.org is not the "real" website it just pretends to be. They markup the price and include a watch box but it's not better quality than other vendors! I bought mine from mywatchcode on eBay

WatchesChecked fair point.. are you talking abt the brand writing on dial & bracelet ?

@Handy Time Overall, the indicees are different the placement of the subdials is different(it also doesn't have the half indicees at 3 and 9'o clock). It doesn't have all of the unnecessary writing like Pagani does, makes it look way more cleaner and I also don't like the date window at 4'o clock...That's all :)
