The camera cuts back and the pancakes reset, Kay maybe Fluttershy refilled it, but the real sin is when he eats the two in his hand takes and eats three more, so there is one pancake on the plate now...yet he walks away with two.

Fun fact: Rainbow Dash loses her cutie mark 20% of the time when being photographed after winning a race, however, Pinkie Pie's Stretch Armstrong-like expandable hoof knows no bounds.
