Parsifal and the Fisher King -- Beginner's Mind

Күн бұрынThis is a seven minute look at the myth of Parsifal from an archetypal perspective. The myth has been best explored by Joseph Campbell and the Jungian writer, Robert A. Johnson. It emerged from the Arthurian myths in the Middle Ages. Parsifal is the holy fool who can ask the question that will save the wounded Fisher King. What questions must we ask to enlarge our own consciousness?

WHY THE HELL ISNT THIS STORY MADE INTO A MOVIE?!?!?!?! One of the deepest most moving stories ever told. There are hundreds of King Arthur movies - but this one - the most powerful of the grail legends, has No Movie?!?!?!

"Martial" as a metaphorical reference to the planet "Mars' which is, of course, associated with the God of War. Rage that is martial is looking to enter into combat to work itself out. Hope that helps.

The work of Robert A. Johnson is particularly helpful. I based my own analysis in part on the book by Johnson that explores this myth, "He". I would also recommend the book by Joseph Campbell, "Reflections on the Art of Living."
