Күн бұрынI enjoyed shooting this compilation as it permitted me to include most of my favourite locations for southward facing locomotives. Having been a sound recordist in a previous life, sound is as important to me as the visual aspect and the tremendous bark of a Hall can be heard to advantage. I hope that you agree and enjoy.

In terms of sound a modified hall with 1950's drafting is about the best that you can get. Great video. Thanks for posting

Very well done, Alan and Evie, this is a thoroughly enjoyable and comprehensive compilation. A great variety of interesting locations allowing us to see and hear Raveningham Hall working well, especially at 07:35 and 11:50 but not detracting from any of the other locations. As well as the "bark of a Hall", the standing starts (very much the first one) provided plenty of additional 'interesting' sound. I assume from the water-stop sequence that the fireman is a non-smoker! Kind regards, Bob.

Thanks Bob. I've heard Hall's make that squealing sound quite often when starting. I must try to find out what it is. Re your final comment...you may well be right! Kind regards Alan

A very enjoyable compilation Alan and really nice locations..... I'm assuming in the opening shot they brakes were dragging, always best to blow 25" first lol. As a Midland man I cannot say I enjoyed firing them, the nearest I had to this one was 6957 Norcliffe Hall. sadly none of them were in present day preserved condition which might explain my jaundiced view!! 1996 was the year that raveningham hall was last resident here at the seven valley railway Brian and now its back 23 years later after they swapped it with Bradley manor thanks to the weight on two heritage lines

Fantastic job mate 1996 was the last time that this engine has ever been resident here on the seven valley railway

Raveningham Hall but for now moved in Margate on display since right beginning of last year.

A most un-Hall like start from Bridgnorth there. Shows that some drivers can make a ham fist of anything, I suppose.

breaking news Allan this engine is coming back this time its staying here until 2021 when its boiler certificate expires on the engine
