Excellent videos - thanks! I now want to program a setup that has just the pool circulating (not the spa weiring as usual) but am unsure how to talk to the valve that determines which body is sucked from. Are valves “toggled” from the Omnilogic (as if the switch was manually toggled) or is there some way of commanding which position to go to?

The you go to spa mode and turn on the spa pump, the Omni sends the signal to both actuators to turn to the opposite position from where they just were. If you need to close off something you can change the set points inside the return actuator only to make it open or close more. Hope that helps.

@@truelightpoolsllc4441 I would like to control the air bleed into the spa jets from OmniLogic - is it simply a matter of installing a new valve in the air line? How do I tell Omnilogic about it if so?

@@randallpatrickc You may be able to do that. Look at the OmniLogic instructions about adding another actuator or consult a local pool professional.

Is it possible to do any diagnostics on the salt cell thru this panel? How do you know for sure if it’s working and producing chlorine?

You can click on Chlorinator, then on the magnifying glass part to the right and it should show the volts and amps being sent to the cell. That shows the cell is on and working. May have to click the refresh icon in that area also.

I finally got tired of the weak WiFi signal my controller was getting as my pool equipment is about 75 feet behind my house. It was also a PITA to access the controller when the WiFi was lost. So I replaced the ~20 foot controller cable with a 100 foot outdoor ethernet cable and buried it in the ground, moving the controller to the under deck area of my house. I had to spice the 6 pin connectors on each end to the ethernet cable, but the setup works great; so far, the WiFi is much more stable and the controller is right at hand should I need it.

are familiar with the hayward pro logic aqua logic system? ..the menu button will not respond on the display panel, is there a way to factory rest the main board to factory settings? thanks

Go to Hayward's website and look at owners manual for ProLogic and see if there is a way to do that, or call tech support. I'm not familiar with a way to do it. But you may need to replace the display if a button has failed on the display.

Hey there, was wondering if there is a freeze protection setting on the omnilogic control panel? Or if there's a way I can set it to run overnight during the coldest part of the day.

There is a freeze protect feature that should have been set up during the configuration of the system. I show that in my configuration video. Or you can just turn the pumps on in the schedule to run 24/7 to get past freezing temps.

How about a video on the iphone hayward app? I have not been able to find much on it. How do you delete warning codes? thanks

Good suggestion. There are some codes that are automatic and are supposed to clear themselves, you can't delete them. Others, like the maintenance reminder to clean your salt cell have to be cleared manually. If you can't delete it in the phone app, you can at the Omni board screen by finding the code and deleting it in warning code area.

If I google Omnilogic I always seem to end up on your videos. Either way, I have a chlorine pool with a few simple features. My “air temperature” is a little off by a few degrees on the cool side and always massively off on the warm side probably because it’s in the sun. However, this affects freeze protection so if it’s 33, it doesn’t come on. Can you manually calibrate the air temp sensor in this system?

Not that I am aware of, move your temp sensor out of the sun.

@@truelightpoolsllc4441 I take it back. After the last firmware updates over the air, specifically MSP 4.0 + you enter service mode, then sensors, then you can calibrate all of them with a calibration thermometer. Worked great.

Turn the pump speed higher and turn the air blower on.

My freeze protection is in on in Water Feature mode vs Pool Filter mode does this sound right? Should the freeze protection mode be on in Pool Filter mode?

Freeze protect works in pool mode and will alternate between pool and spa mode while the temps are still low. I'm not familiar with a water feature mode, I'm familiar with a water feature pump and if this one is listed to allow freeze protect when temps are low, that's why that pump will be on. Hope that helps.

I installed a new Tristar pump no power. I was told I need to program the omni logic control panel to the new pump.

Yes, if it's a variable speed pump you will need to select the HUA address for the new pump in the programming. I have another video showing how to set up the configuration of the OmniLogic you can walk through. If not, have a pool professional program it for you.

Hola, sabrás porque no me cierra el rele de mi calentador??? El de la tarjeta hub ??? Ya configure todo y los sensores de agua y aire. Con un % de 100% mi bomba y ni así lo manda a encender :(

On the OmniLogic, when they set up the programming, you have to set the pool mode up first, then add the spa, and answer yes to the equipment being shared.

Does anyone know where I can find help with how to operate the controls before it is programmed ? My pool company (the company that built my pool as it is new) dumped me and I need to turn on the other skimmer as only one is on.

I know I can hire pool companies but it's a holiday weekend and my pool needs help asap. Leslies pool Co already helped with the chemicals. Now I just need to know what all the icons mean before it's programmed. Icons say hv1 for example. Is there a cheat sheet for the icons?

When you go into the Omni in service mode before it's programmed, HV1 is High Voltage 1. Your first 4 relays usually have your pool equipment attached to it. If you have a variable speed TriStar as your pump controlled by the Omni, then look for VSP and that would be how you activate the variable pump until the Omni is programmed.

I like them both. This area is dominated by Hayward though. Jandy is definitely not going to get my recommend though.

How do I setup spillway in settings

You will have to contact Hayward Tech Support or the manual for setting up the OmniLogic to uderstand what spillway does. I never set spillway up when I configure an OmniLogic, but it's in the configuration so as you go through configuration you will see spillway. You can watch my configuration video to see where it is in the setup.

Man....I wish my touch screen worked as well as yours. Never touched my screen for 3 years because I always used my app. Lost my WiFi connection so I went to use the main unit and the LCD is garbage. Touch doesn’t work and Hayward told me too bad you have to buy a new one.

Yes, sometimes the screen goes bad and you will have to replace it or you can get your wifi going again and just use the app.

Since the touch screen doesn’t work I can’t navigate the OmniLogic to the WiFi settings to put in the correct info. I wish there was a video that shows how to swap out the LCD screen on this unit.

@@tpjv01 You should be able to take the main panel off to reveal the screen, carefully remove the screen looking for the ribbon cable connection, connect new screen after connecting the new ribbon cable.

I lost the connection with my wiffi and today when I try to put the password in the panel it got stuck and wont respond. Please help me, automatic light didn't work😔

Turn off power to Omni and let it reboot. Then try to connect the bridge from the Omni to your router again. If needed you may need to download the latest version of the Omni firmware and upgrade both the msp and the mpp.

You probably need to program the new pump in the Omni. I have another video on how to configure the Omni that should walk you through it. If you can't figure it out, call a pool professional to program it.

That swipe gesture is so non-obvious I've spent many minutes trying to switch between modes on the controller when my app has failed, which happens quite frequently.
