in this one we watch the FJ cruise thru Joshua Tree forests, tumble down the Watson Wash, and handle the Mojave Road with style.
Let's see if this 2007 FJ Cruiser with 213,000 miles on it can take on the rest Mojave Road. Spoiler alert, it can. Duh.
We hit Mojave National Preserve at the beginning of January. It was cold but not unbearable. I travel with my cousin and uncle. My cousin road his Tundra with King suspension and SPS wheels, very sick. My uncle took his stock Ford with a new king-sized Smittybilt rooftop tent. Also very sick.
My FJ sits on Method Race Wheels with bead grip, and those are wrapped in 33" Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 6 ply tires. The cruiser's suspension was shot, so it was replaced with Bilstein 6112 in the front, 5160 in the rear. We also put on SPC upper control arms.
Special thanks to the kiddo for helping me mount the All-Pro Rock Sliders I purchased from Summit Racing. We gave them a good spray with Raptor Bedliner beforehand.
Also, a spectacular showing from the Honda Element Society. What a delight meeting them along the trail. Got my mind blown on what an Element can do.
Here's some of the other gear I brought:
-Setpower PT35 Fridge
-Teton Sports Vista 1 quick tent, cot, and sleeping pad
-Big Agnes Torchlight 20
-Plano Storage Bin
-Firewood
-BLUETTI AC200P
Cameras:
-GoPro Hero11
-DJI Osmo Pocket 3
-Canon R6 w/two lenses
-DJI Mini Pro 3
-Used CAPCUT to edit instead of Premier Pro for the first time, and loved it
What the FJ, dude?
