check if all your drivers are updated. second try uninstalling and reinstalling all the drivers. If that doesn't work either get an expert to check it.

@@ivancliffbasilad1786 Hey, for mine it's a i7 10th Gen, RTX 2060. Since I game a lot, it's required to keep charging while doing so. And since that's the case, it overtime spoils my battery. I've had the laptop for 2 years now and without battery on battery saving mode, it can last around 1 hour 15 minutes - 2 hours depending on what you do. But generally 1 hour is the max I'd leave it uncharged. Since if I do for longer, chances are it'd just probably die if I walk away to get water or go in the bathroom haha. But yeah, I don't mind keeping it plugged in all the time, doesn't bother me and gets the job done.

I had the same issue with mine but it's all fixed now :) Temperatures and performances are amazing. I recommend throttlestop as your CPU is using more power than it should which causes higher temperatures for the CPU. There's many things you should do before you use it. I'm not sure if you did your research or know much about gaming laptops, but there's a lot you need to do before you play. Checking bios, drivers, check your power usages and where it's going, undervolting if needed, overclocking as well if needed, messing around with it. I'm now able to play MSFS2020, GTA V, Overwatch and other heavy performance games with good temps and good fps, never dropping. It's all about if you know what you're doing.

I'll try find out from my brother who helps me alot with it as he's a computer science graduate student. Hellos is good but just painful to setup for good performance xd. No. It didn’t even overheat. I used to start the laptop and within 5mins of playing it would just freeze and shut down and I’d get a blue screen. Also later it stopped powering up to windows.

@@nikeo4656 check to see if the big box thing is plugged in properly, if not you might have broken the motherboard. i got a whole new laptop because i bought 3 chargers in 2 weeks because it just wouldnt charge, then i took it to a computer place and the entire motherboard was dead and getting barely any power

@@trevik5844 depends on what it will be used for. I would say get a console for gaming and a PC for every other work. Keep the laptop if you are in college or university, otherwise return or sell it. The reason I say console for gaming is the current gaming hardware prices and the downfall of AAA games. At least on consoles you'll have a solid experience for far less price.

maybe because its a laptop its supposed to get hot also if u weren't using it while plugged in u aren't getting best performance gaming laptops are supposed to be plugged while playing to get better gameplay or just faster in general also its a GTX 1050 TI its not gunna run stuff very well as its not a very good GPU especially games like call of duty and more intensive games or work spaces such as blender or other software that is similar my laptop I've had for years hasn't gotten sluggish or slow sure its also a pretty powerful machine with an i7 and RTX 3070 Ti but your saying never buy a laptop this is your personal experience that may not relate to other people or could be bad advice because what if you cant afford a whole desk top monitor and desk with a mouse and keyboard and have to resort to using a laptop not all laptops will just stop working of course they will get slower over years and wont always be as they were on the first day.

I actually don't know if I can recommend it to you, cause I saw a lot of people having the same problem as me... But to be honest when I first got it, it works so good. So yeah it's really a tough decision. Maybe try buying it from the physical store in malls. Laptops from malls last longer than those you purchased online. :)

if you want for gaming go for desktop because Laptops are NEVER good for gaming. I have Helios 300 2060. gaming is awesome but it overheats alot because laptops in general have horrible cooling plus many missing ports that you might need which are all always on desktops plus it's way cheaper to upgrade a desktop if need be. My FPS drops alot after few hrs of gaming. I wouldn't recommend laptop for gaming in general. Get a desktop.

I guess since I'm doing computer science as my major it's easy for me to fix things. But here's solution to temps: > Throttlestop and undervolt your cpu as it's using too much power that it doesnt need and causes higher cpu temps. > Ensure your laptop is elevated and not on a flat surface or on a bed. > If your laptop is old, check on your fans and check inside to clean it as dust accumulates as well as check your thermal paste in case needs changing. I did many changes to my laptop, you should never use the laptop stock, always mess around with your device. I went from 80-95 degree temps on smaller games to playing super heavy games on high graphics, stable 144 fps on max fans running at 70-75 degrees for hours, I game a lot. So it's most likely people being uneducated about their devices causing them to say such things about laptops. Though I understand PCs are easier for people to understand and replace things. Laptops are typically better if you'd want to game and also use it for college/work.

But if there is no available motherboard, they will replace the laptop with the same model as yours. But you can also request for a refund instead if you don't want the same laptop again. 😊

Hey there, I have an Acer Predator Helios 300. RTX 2060, i7 10th Gen. Don't worry about it, I have had it for about 2 years (got mind around January 2021) and here's the things I have faced: 1) My bios was not updated meaning I couldn't overclock or do other stuff with my laptop freely. So I had to update it manually which was risky since if something goes wrong your PC could die, but it went well. 2) The paint, the issue with this laptop isn't the performance but more with the paint and quality of the build. It's plasticish and the black paint comes off overtime where your palm may rest which is very annoying if you use your laptop constantly, it ends up looking pretty weird. 3) My predator sense stopped working which was a panic to me. I'm not sure how it got fixed, I'm pretty sure my brother re-downloaded it for me and did some troubleshooting from videos online. I was just too busy being sad haha. (This happened later on, not too early). 4) The biggest issue so far I'd say is the fans. I'm a heavy gamer and so I understand this issue xd. Recently I had to replace the fans which wasn't so costly. It was rattling a lot and my GPU fan eventually bailed out and died. Turns out, it was my GPU fan that was rattling and spoiled, so I got both CPU and GPU fans replaced so I wouldn't have to check up on the CPU one later. It's not super costly, I believe around $30+ I don't remember exactly since my brother bought the fans online. 5) My laptop came with built in DTS Ultra sound stuff, which sometimes would say couldnt connect or random stuff. So I had to debug it myself by searching online. Without DTS Ultra, my sound was very very low, so I fixed it easily through online videos of-course. I think those are the only major issues I noticed, nothing performance wise. Very great, handles games well for me. I'd recommend getting throttle stop. If you'd like to know what games I play, I play: > Fall Guys > GTA V > Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 > Fortnite > Rocket League > Overwatch > American Truck Simulator and more. Honestly, once you take care of your laptop and change it's thermal paste and do a check up on the parts every year or so, you should be good. Ensure you clean it as well as the inside can get very dusty overtime. Well for me I live in a tropical area so it's expected for more dust and so on. My average temperatures is 40-50 idling, gaming: 65-80 depending on the game. If you have your fans on max, then you should be chilling on 70-80 degrees max on heavy performance games.
