It's amazing how all 3 blended together sound so great. The z5600 captured that lovely bright tone and the the Ethos and vr1 ribbon do a great job of adding lower end tone. Thank you for doing this.

Thank you for watching, I picked where the mic went by their capturing tones. The z5600 is a more dynamic mic so capturing the high end makes sense. The other mics, I used the same thinking. I hope you got something out of this technique.

Good stuff, dude. I like the demonstration of the 3 mics capturing different points of the guitar you're wanting enhanced. I know these are raw but I don't know if you're keeping that way or not. I would high pass the Earthworks mic some, because it has a nice shimmer on the top end that needs more definition while the bottom end of it is competing with the low end of the VR ribbon. On the VR ribbon I would carve a little space in the boxy 250-450 region. I think you would be left with a buttery guitar sound.

Hey thank you for watching and leaving a wonderful response. I do end up high passing both the Ethos and vR1 Ribbon mic to clean up the low end a little. The recording I did was a version of Gypsy we are currently working on. I will do a video this week showing how good the guitar sits in a mix. Thanks again.

Wow, that sounds awesome! I would to try this but I only have one mic is there a way to accomplish this with using only one mic?

Do 3 takes with the one mic in different positions for each take. Then you take 3 weeks to chop the audio to time match it or, in your DAW just quantize it. Better still, do one take and eq the different elements you want to push or cut.
