Nice tent and thats a really good brand stove, nothing beats hot tent camping when it’s cold out. I bought a big canvas tent and wood stove for camping in WY but it rained so much we never got to use it. Initially I bought a camp chef stove but it was so frickin heavy (60 lbs) I returned it and bought a guide gear instead. I also have a big buddy heater and diesel heater as backup but you can’t beat a wood stove for the ambiance. The thicker the logs at night the longer they will burn so you don’t have to keep getting up. Do you have any type of power station like a jackery to keep everything charged? That’s my highest priority as I can’t stand being unplugged from the world for too long. 😂

An absolute delight from start to finish. The tent/ heater/ cooker combo is just so evocative of C20 or C19 references I guess we all have from books, TV, movies... The old west, the pioneers, wagon trains. Scouting & soldiering. Surveying & exploring. Nomads/ Bedouin/ etc Harry Potter (!) And you do it with such style! Plus Fig & Bean are always adorable. The real star however is the scenery, spectacular & sublime isolation. I feel de-stressed vicariously ... Being in human society has a perpetual enervating quality which you can only truly escape in wilderness like this. Thanks so much for sharing this!

I gave a little cheer when I saw you had posted this, and settled in with a morning cup of coffee and my kitty on my lap to watch. What a beautiful spot to live for a time. The tent looks wonderful. Thank you for taking the time during your trip to film and then to later share with us - it’s a joy.

Thanks for the tour! The tent looks amazing. Were you worried about attracting bears or mountain lions while cooking inside your tent?

You might say, if Bean got too close to the stove, he’d be a baked Bean 🫘. All corny jokes aside, I love seeing Bean, my ferret Stan has been gone now for about two years, its bittersweet seeing beans face since Stan looked a lot like him but I so enjoy every time he makes a cameo!!❤

Oooh my, the stove!!! It's amazing! Actually the whole tent and the set up is beautiful 😍 Those big, double, windows will be nice when it's warm as well, helps you get a little draft going. I am sure this tent will be something you will enjoy for years. It feels like a portable home, more than "just" a tent. The sound of rain must be amazing. Maybe some of those old field beds will be nice, to get you off the cold floor, if they fit in the car.. Bean is looking good! He must be an old man by now, isn't he? Fig seems to be made for the cold weather, as long as there is a warm bed waiting for him 😉 And little Dot is just so cute, with her little legs. She looks like she is always up for an adventure! I used to be a strictly big-dog-person, but then I adopted a small dog (basically the exact type of dog I said I would never have. Shows you what I know 😂) and I must say I am now a small(er) dog person (partly because I don't have a car and I like to be able to carry my dog in case of an emergency). Haha, this is the cliffhanger series! So, did you guys get snow?? I am sure that would have been amazing, in the cosy tent, with that gorgeous view! I look forward to seeing the next video! Thank you for sharing 🏕️

Hi Alicia: I started watching your channel for the fountain pen and inks discussions and remember Beanzillia the destroyer of ink swatching . So was delighted to see Bean on the thumbnail of this episode : anything with Fig & Bean is a hit for me .🎯

Hello and thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed the little Bean cameos. Thanks for sticking around despite not having done much pen content in a long time.

Splendid tent. I envy your enjoyment of it. When I was a marine we never had anything so nice; just a pup tent. If the weather was fine, and we were allowed, we didn't pitch them, but wrapped up in our blanket and shelter-half, with our poncho on the outside. You have to get used to sleeping on the ground, especially when it is uneven or rocky.

Wonderful scenery I bet it just smells and feels refreshing and uplifting. So happy to see Fig, Dot and little Bean having fun. I can’t wait for the next video. I love the tent and wood stove. Go to Harbor Freight and buy some moving blankets for insulation on the floor. They work well and are very affordable.

Oh that’s such a great idea! My partner loves Harbor Frieght, haha. So I don’t think he’d complain about going there. 😂

Very nice tent. There's something pleasantly comfortable with a large canvas tent ... and what a wonderful view! Enjoy the cool weather and snow but don't get stuck! Bean must be a pleasure to camp as I'm sure Fig and Dot are.

Those tents and stoves are great. So nice of your mom to gift it to you for your future adventures. One question is I didn't see the potty?! Inside the big tent or an outside special potty tent~?!

Truly a wonderful gift. We could live in this tent for a very long time and feel quite comfortable! As for the bathroom, we wander off into the woods somewhere and dig a hole. 😂

You find a smaller table than that roll-a-table? I just ordered a Skyliner and I'm looking for a table.

Hi, can you tell me the size of your bed, if you are able? (i.e. L x W). Thinking about a Skyliner and trying to get an idea of how much space we'll have. TIA!
